I didn’t really think about Bethany beach. Maybe I’ll check that out too. I’ll have to do more looking to see what’s available. I think when we’ll be there should still be considered before the season starts.

We’re also looking at during the week to avoid any potential… visitors… that like to stay at their beach house on the weekends.

    @hyrule_trd

My daughter lives in Middle River...and they find taking 95 North then coming down the Hwy 1 is much quicker than going over Chesapeake Bay Bridge.

    Either way, it's a hike!

I'd like to be one of those that says, "I have a Beach House in: Lewes/Rehoboth/Dewey/Bethany Beach!"

Screw going over the bay bridge unless it’s late evening. Otherwise way too much traffic. I’m up in Bel Air, so it’s much closer going around and down through DE

    Good morning fellow Delawareans:

I'm quoting myself because I thought of another phrase regarding the same subject that came to mind...

    "Drained My Enthusiasm"

There are times one enjoys coming to work (hard to believe I know but there are a few of us--lol).

    There's a self-gratification in accomplishing things.

But just because one does things well doesn't mean you dump more stuff on them or worse...take them for granted.

Everyone is experiencing a workload increase...and probably causing self-inflicted anxiety/stress.

That becomes a heavy distraction (if you start reading how it affects your cardiovascular system) and causes a shift in behavior.

It feels good to release that fatigue (that's a good/vague word to describe those feelings) and remember that happiness is what matters.

completely agree my man! i’m so fortunate to be working in my lifelong passion of aviation as a mechanic. regardless, it’s still a job at the end of the day and i still feel the draining and lowering of passion at times like everyone else, but what keeps me going is just remembering that every other time this feeling has come up in my life it inevitably gets better every time, maybe not for a while, but it does regardless! best of luck to everyone in these hard times, the good times are right around the corner!

    Nice pics @Dream Weaver !

We're going to Lewes today...we like the Big Oyster Brewery and Restaurant in the big barn! lol

We have not visited the UD Windmill in Lewes...maybe today!

And yes, Cape Henlopen (or as my kids who went to CR call it, "Cape") is a nice beach with the bike trails and deer vegetation areas.

I've done a Ferry Ride once several years back and it was for a Beer Fest ride to Cape May and back to Lewes.

Thanks for the feedback on the work thing.

I do vent to Reps that come into the hospital. They see the culture and pretty much say..."all hospitals are the same: some worse some better."

It is cyclical the wave of difficulties that surround/impact what I do to support the mission.

People do recognize my efforts but sometimes it gets put to the side with people looking for someone to blame in certain instances.

    But, let's stay positive!

I'm about to head out with my wife and spend quality time with her.

Lewes is a quaint little town. Looks quiet but restaurants are crowded since it's a chilly day.

does anyone have any lightbars on their trucks? i’m wanting to get maybe a stealth light bar or when i put on a 20” on my bumper, or maybe both! i know up close they can be really bright but does anyone have any experience in the throw of them?

Can't help you there, @Dream Weaver.

I went back to the first page of this thread and whoa!

    2011 start date!

I went through the first 3 pages just to see if anyone had light bars...no luck. But there's 17 pages.

I'm sure you can find threads on here about light bars.

I have the stealth one and honestly it does not seem to be very good. Now, it’s an Amazon one so it’s really cheap. I can barely tell I have it on when my fog lights are also on.

I don’t think I’ve found myself in a position that I actually needed it either. I do have it wired so that and the ditch lights can come one without the truck on, so if I did need to light something up I could.

i’m aware there are tons of threads and videos on light bars, but i’d figure i’d ask here on the local forum to just chat with y’all about it, maybe an in person demo too, because videos just don’t do light demonstrations justice

I'm interested in a "show & tell" demonstration too, @Dream Weaver!

Not sure how many/or who is viewing this thread and would give insight on their install.

A light bar is not on my priority list right now.

I've asked about a front window tint and AVS window deflectors install at SoundFX here in Delaware.

And I'm thinking of changing my RED inserts on the tailgate to match the gray/silver grill letters.

The light bar instal itself is pretty easy. You do need to take off the grill and inside air dams to instal the brackets, at least the ones I used. Wiring is tricky. I used a dual switch with ditch lights and light bar. Wire was ran from the switch through the firewall and to the battery. There is a dash power wire on the inside. I have the relay in the engine bay and the bar is powered by the battery.

Next time I’m in DE I can reach out and show. When I’m there it’s either at the Delaware air park near Dover or Georgetown Airport.

Avs deflectors are easy, I got low profile ones for the windows and one for the hood. The hood one is basically tapped on the hood. There are some that wrap under and screwed underneath so no tape.

shoot honestly we need to plan for a local meet up since it’s seeming like it’s warming up! tried to do one last year but it got cold before it was settled, probably shooting for somewhere maybe in the dover area? maybe the dover mall or blue hen mall, unless anyone has any other suggestions? i feel like it doesn’t have to be just tacoma’s either, any off roading vehicle could be cool too!
