Does anyone on here seriously believe something bad is going to happen in 2012? I've been reading more about 2012 than I've been on TW, which is a whole lot haha.

I myself want to think it will just be another day, but with everything I've read and all the things that are going on in this world lately it's hard to believe something bad won't happen.

Take for example the web bots used to predict the stock market, they predicted in June 2001 that something life-altering was going to happen in a few months........then 9/11 happens. They have also accurately predicted other things as well as something to happen in 2012. Another thing is the pole reversal, and I also find it odd that two civilizations (Mayans, Egyptians) who had no contact whatsoever predicted something to happen.

Of course I'm just going by the text on the internet, and I'd really like to see what you guys on TW think about it

I'm thinkin the Mayans got sick and tired of makin calendars. 2012 years seemed like enough. Or they just stopped it to screw with everyone in the future. 2012 is just like another Y2K.

Not to mention the Biblical scripture that doesn't agree with it.

It's a proven fact , look at the Myan Long Calender .

I think BartStar is the only one that has figured it out , hoard food , coal , firewood and scooter helmets or perish .

I believe the Mayan Calender ends at Dec 21, 2012. I'm not going Christmas shopping until Dec. 22, 2012 that year. Why waste my time doing something I hate if I'm gonna die right?:D In all honesty, who the F knows but I have a sneaking suspicion that we're looking at another Y2K.

I have 2 of my own predictions.

    (1) this thread will fail.
    (2) that my pole will shift.

    Carry on.

I feel very lucky for what I am and the things I have. I guess it's kinda hard not to read that stuff sometimes haha. It's weird, and interesting reading something that's telling you you're going to die in the next few years or some crazy things are going to happen.

Be careful as it can turn into a slippery slope. I know I guy I used to be pretty good friends with and he was just an average dude up until about a year ago. I won't even hang out with him because in my opinion he has gone full Cookoo for Cocoa Puffs as his life is literally all about preparing for some event that is going to wreak havoc on man kind. He has sold most of his luxury items so he can by weapons, ammo, canned goods, stockpiles of water, generators etc. I honestly do not know how his wife has not left him yet as she was always very down to earth but this coming from him did not surprise me. This crap literally consumes his life so if nothing ends up happening he will be missing out on a lot of good years of life worrying and preparing for it or if the shiz does hit the fan and we are vaporized, he just wasted the last few years of his life preparing for the wrong crap. I dunno, I am just going to live life like I always have and continue to try and build a future for my family as if nothing will ever happen. Lifes to short to waste a whole lot of time on theory. If the world ends in 2012 than I guess it will be I that feels like the fool but until than it's business as usual.
