Todays warm weather projects…

1. Put the CBI bed rails back on the truck.
2. Install the traction board brackets.
3. Install the Hi-Lift mounts.
4. Install the equipment.




…pain in the ass job to do solo, but it’s done. Not a fan of the mounting knobs that hood the ARB boards on, will have to upgrade to locking mounts asap! But all in all, happy with it.

 

Also, pulled the Yamaha Raptor 80 out and gave it a little cleaning and took pics for the Craigslist post. If anyone is interested, it’s still here…

I'm sure you already know this but be careful selling that quad online. I would meet any possible buyers at your closest police station. There's been atv/dirtbike thefts after being listed for sale.

 

Got them from Taco Troopers. Weren’t expensive and my local tint/stereo shop put them on for like $100. Definitely helps the truck stand out, especially considering all the MGM Tacomas out there! Lol!!

Ain’t that the truth. Few years ago, I sold my fully built Yz125 race bike. Dude came out with a cashiers check from Navy Federal Bank, even had the receipt stub and all. Gave him the bike. Took it to bank next day and they cashed it. Two days later they called me and said the check was stolen and bounced it. Wouldn’t insure it either. Ate like $4500! I was pissed. Neighbor is a cop, so if someone comes out I’ll make sure he’s here, or like you said… go to a station. People suck!!

 

That sucks! In all my years selling vehicles, atvs, ect I never accepted a check, always cash in hand. Unless it was a ebay sale then PayPal but the item wouldn't leave my possession until I confirmed that the funds were in my account.

Recently knocked some things off the to-do list
1) Viofo A229 Duo dashcam.
2) OEM tailgate lock actuator.
3) Z-Precision cupholder (so I'd have a place for the Hydro Flask). Literally 10 minutes to do.
4) Washed it, simply because it was a 76 degree day in February and that color just glows when it's clean.

 

Since I put new springs in and the height changed my truck needed an alignment. Got the alignment done, went in for what I hoped was just a check. Went in there with no rubbing, and the ride felt really good, cam out not even able to get out the parking spot going forward with out it rubbing bad. Rode horrible. Adjusted to stop the rubbing and it still has some issue. Feels like it’s hollow or something.
I went to Firestone since I have free alignments. Looked at everything and nothing looks bad, beside a cam tab they fd up. I retorqued all the bolts, checked for play.
Going to take it somewhere else for a good alignment next week.
I do have concerns the king spring or seat is the issue but it shouldn’t be. Both SPC UCAs seem to have play at the pass through bolt but I can remember if they did before.
Hoping a good alignment will fix the issue or I’ll swap out the springs and seat again.

maybe I have too much camber in it now or something that’s making the ride feel off.

 

So I got the cap. It's everything he said it was. I cant find a scratch on it. It's dirty but it's just rain water dirty. He gave me the keys and the original mounting brackets that fit in the bed tracks. Weather permitting I am going to take the stickers off of the back window, wash and wax it, lube the handles and and latches and I might put it on my truck for a while and see if I hate it.
