I need to spend more time on it. I have riden maybe 75 miles and it needs dialed in. Honestly, it’s a decent bike and I think I’m going to keep it and enjoy it. Im a bit disappointed with the power, but I am impressed by the lack of choppy throttle, solid shifts, and over all solid feel. It’s very nimble (is too nimble a thing?) and I like how in control it makes me feel. Im used liter bikes that I had to “guide” rather than this that I can man handle. I think it’s going be fun once I understand it better.

 

Now you're getting the appeal of the bike. Buells weren't anything revolutionary as far as engine performance. Although they would've like to be (see the wonderful history of the company and how much HD really screwed them). The appeal was a lot of the engineering. They were trying/doing things that other manufacturers had never or weren't doing.

And yes, they're very nimble. It's the mass centralization and short-ish wheelbase.

 

I like the engineering aspects of the bike and I really like the simplicity of it. I saw some put a turbo on one so there’s hope for the power aspect.

 

Does it have the little fan?

Someone was making a turbo for mine when I had it. It was tempting, but the packaging was horrible. The bike's headpipes already stuck out a bit and the turbo was just kind of hung on there. Or so I remember.

 

Finally had a dude contact me about the Silverado earlier this week. Talked to him on the phone and he seemed real interested. Was supposed to get a hold of me yesterday or today to set something up. Nothing. Lame.

 

It does have a fan behind the rear cylinder. I guess it pulls air over the cylinders.

I'm starting to realize this is going to be a hard sell. I have until May before I was going to seriously start looking for the next 4wd. Just means I can do more dump runs, right?

 

Maybe if you pointed it the other way.

 

Maybe do dump runs for other folks and charge them a little something, till you make enough off the truck to cover the cost of a new one?

Took awhile to find one at a decent price. Several places were asking crazy high monies for the bike or a ridiculous freight and set up fees.

To early to tell.. just put 3 miles on it. Had to move on to yard work.
