It work both way. Some will say it's dumb to plug it, while the other group will say the opposite. Regardless, I plugged mine. No issue for 5 years now. Each time I drain and fill, nearly the identical amount of fluid drain out.

Ok cool that's what I figured and what the guys at Yotamaters confirmed too. Kinda strange because if I ever replace my transmission mount or the bolts loosen up it'll leak fluid, but doesn't look like it'll be a major issue.

You trans mount doesn't thread all the way into the housing
Maybe it's different on the v6 than my 4 cyl?

It does but the 4 holes are drilled all the way through the tail housing section, meaning if I loose a bolt or they loosen up (which they have before) it'll leak or get dirt in it. Probably not something to worry too much about but still a possibility.

What trans do you have? Mine is a '99 V6 4WD Manual trans, maybe they made them slightly different depending on year/type?

On the v6 5spds those 4 tapped threaded holes go straight through the transmission extension housing. Best way to take care of it is while your building the dual tcase. Go ahead and put some grease on the tip of each bolt installed, and then cover all (4) in the housing with JB weld. Once it's set, you'll be good to go an unthread the bolts. When reinstalling for full assembly, put some rtv on the 4 bolt and you'll be sealed and good to go.
Was a pretty common practice in the old crawlbox instructions. Not really mentioned now a days anymore.

Wow where were these instructions hiding last night! Welp, I guess I'm gonna lather my bolts in RTV and hope for the best... If it becomes a major issue I'll pull the t-case out and JB weld everything shut.

This looks great, do you have anymore pictures of the shifters? What did you do for a shift boot? Did you end up clocking your case at all? I'm working on getting mine put in. It'll be very similar to your setup.

I've got mine clocked 10 degrees and beat the tunnel out of the way with a hammer. I ordered a triple shift boot from wild horses and paired it with the original tunnel seal shift boot with a little adjustment, this keeps the heat and dust out of the cab. I have not done the leather boot yet but I ordered 3 generic shift knob cover leather boots from Amazon that im going to sew into the original leather boot. I can get you more pics of the shifters tomorrow

Having an issue that hopefully someone can shed some light on for me.
I have an Inchworm adapter I ordered from Marlin, the plate for trans-crawlbox. Mated to r150. The countershaft opening on the plate goes past the mating surface of the trans. As soon as I filled it with fluid it puked it out.
Common issue? Not sure how to best fix it.

Make sure any unused threaded holes are filled up with RTV and get a good seal where the adapter mates to the trans. That area fills with fluid so it needs to be pipe tight.

Got any more pics with different angles?
From what I can see, doesn't look off or misaligned.
I do see on the top left side of you picture, the bolt with 2 washers is loose. I'd recommended now that you have an rtv template from pulling it apart, take sandpaper or a sanding disk and scuff up that plate. This will allow the rtv has a better chance to bond with the aluminum adapter plate when bolting to the crawlbox.

Or you have a hole not plugged or threaded with sealant.

Also here is the inchworm installation instruction from years ago.

Thanks for the tips fellas. I'll keep at it. It is leaking from the countershaft hole, I'm 100% certain of that. I can stick a small probe into the hole when it's mounted to the tcase. I'll see about throwing some sandpaper on it and a nice wide bead of RTV down.

Its funny that everyone bashes on the TG stuff, but I had way less issues with them than I've dealt with on this inchworm.

Got any zoomed out pics? Either the holed is too large (maybe machining things happen), but what crawlbox are you using to mate up to it? I see a few items that stick out as not normal.
