So far so good. Coming off BP51’s and these run better than that. Pricey stuff for sure, so we’ll see.

 

I installed my rears last weekend. Going to install the fonts this weekend. Which was easier to install?

 

Imo rears are definitely much easier to install. Especially 2.5” and reservoirs plus sway bar relocation but I’m doing mine with floor Jack and Jack stands impact wrench and torque wrench in garage

 

Ahh dang! The rears for me was a lot of work. Wrangling the leaf packs in, lower shock was hard to fit into mount, drilling holes for resi, and cutting U-Bolts.

 

yeh, I’d have to agree wrestling the leaf packs made it more difficult. Also lower shock mount is a tight fit.

only issue with the front is the brackets are a bit of a pita. Not a lot of slack in the lines and mounting reservoirs and bracket was the only issue. Is what it is.

Ohhhhhh I thought you were only talking about shocks in rear!! U bolts with angle grinder cutting wheel for me wasn’t too bad and passenger side was a bitch to get aligned for me in rear. leaf’s are a pain in the ass with a floor jack and jack stands lol. I retract unless you’re doing UCAs and Coil-Overs in the front then I’d say about even

Totally thought you just meant shocks only.

 

Can you elaborate on this? Redesign? Different material in the works? For 2 months of use it doesn't look like these would last a year.

 

Huh? Just bc they have dirt on them? Maybe those leaf springs are shot too?

We've done some pretty severe testing on these and they have held up great, not at all concerned about the durability. Color is mostly what we will be changing.

 

I'm not referencing the dirt and I think you know that. They looked cracked to me at the top and weathered or sun damaged (purplish part). I ask because if they need to be changed out frequently I'll be going with something else.

 

This is getting a bit off topic for a Fox Shock thread, but maybe @Perfuseme wouldn't mind sending you some better photos of the bump stops. The bump stops don't look weathered to me, just look used like the leaf springs. The "crack" you may be referencing is likely the molding indentations, sorta can seem them in this photo. These bumps do no need to be changed out frequently.

 

Okay, I see it now. They're not cracks, but rather lines from the molding process. I'm curious if these have any UV stabilizers molded into the foam composition? A darker color like black would help hide "use" as you call it. Also, can one order replacement foam stops without ordering a new u bolt flip kit?

Edit: what about ordering just the new color foam stop, will that be an option?

 

Correct, and yes a darker color is what we have in mind. And yes we are happy to sell any replacement parts needed for our products. Same goes for spacers if you were to change leaf packs or shocks in the future.

 

This is way to complicated. Let’s fix a problem that doesn’t exist. Just make a beer cozy that slips over it. It will help block UV rays from the sun from shining through the bed and dust from actually contacting a pristine suspension component like a bump stop.

Yellow bumps are the only thing I dislike about my new archive bumps but damn they’re great quality

 

Don’t worry they end up kinda brownish black. Eventually when the new wears off you can spray paint them any color your heart desires.

 

here they are at installation. The leafs are new Deavers, not pictured here. Also installed a few months back.

 

Are Fox 2.0 performance with coils ,set of 4 any good for 4wd 4 doors 2002 tacoma ?
I hear that fox require tune up front shocks.?
Should i go wit bilstein 6112 w/coils / 8-5100 rear combo.

Should I go deaver J59 or Alcan leaft springs.?

time to upgrade, i prefer closer to stock hight and Smoot ride…. Please advise. Tks,
