The 2-5 weeks of riding weather, this is why I love my home State

What did you end up with? I have been looking for some jeans too, but I have the opposite problem; I need a 36x32. Everything I've tried so far, the length scales with waist size and you can't choose waist and inseam separately.

Nice thanks a lot. How is the fit? Usually they run a bit large and I'm about done sending jeans back because they don't fit.

I need to just bite the bullet and go to Cycle Gear to try some on but I really don't want to.

No complaints here, though I did read that they run skinnier than suggested (slim was basically tight and straight was more slim). I'm pretty skinny and even then the straight jeans don't seem that baggy on me, especially with the armor in place. The material also has some stretch which helps.

No different than insurance companies charging a premium if you use tobacco or are overweight. I worked for a place that every year you had to get a physical and the outcome would determine if you were high risk or not and higher risk meant higher premium.

First and foremost, government's role is not to protect people from themselves. It's intended role is the exact opposite - to preserve individual liberty.

I used to wear a full face all of the time, but down here in Florida it gets hot. Miserably hot. Hot to the point that your head feels like it's cooking inside the helmet and sweat is running into your eyes obstructing your vision. Even with a helmet with good ventilation, you aren't moving 100% of the time. It gets to be so uncomfortable that it is extremely distracting. Same goes for 3/4 and half helmets to lessening degrees. I've worn all three types and still prefer to ride without.

I'll also add this - I know the dangers of motorcycles better than most. I worked fire/rescue for Volusia County, FL (Daytona) for four years, which captured every bike event from Biketoberfest of 1994 through Bike Week of 1998. Our response area was mostly west and south of the speedway, but included the Cabbage Patch (if you know, you know). Of all of the accidents I worked, the ones that usually required the most cleanup (we carried grain shovels on our trucks to more easily put parts in body bags) were squids doing wheelies and stunting or hauling ass and running out of talent. Responsible riders (even those without helmets) made up a tiny fraction of the calls we ran on.

So I'll continue saying, "Don't Tread On Me" and you can keep saying, "Tread Harder, Daddy", but keep that bullshit up north and out of Florida.

I was hit between the eyes staring from a stop sign. My visit was still up, because there was a red light a block ahead. Just as I reach up to feel what hit me, the effing bee stings me! And that was between 10-15mph.

Thankfully, I don't seem to have a reaction to bee stings, beside a string of naughty words.

Found my Zx10r at a local dealer still in the crate. Did a quick insurance quote and it only adds 140 per year to my policy. Only good benefit of being old. Lol now to convince the wife I need it now and not in 3 months.

Yeesh. yeah that's a concern of mine as well. To date I don't recall ever having been stung, so no clue whether I'm allergic or not. Prefer not to find out at all, let alone that way haha.

Once I did manage to get a bug hanging off the inside of my visor and didn't notice it until i was up to speed, with the visor closed. Popped it open real quick and the wind blew him out luckily, rather than further into the helmet.
