I’ve seen it done before with mixed results when I was in the landscape construction business. A major advantage of the polymeric sand is that it does not get brittle so there is never any visible cracking. It also discourages insects and weed growth as well.

It's called lean concrete. I use it all the time. There is very minimal compressive strength to it. The purpose is to get density on something that you have a difficult time getting that 100% density, but you still want to be able to dig it out in the future. For example, my current project that I took over for a stupid superintendent who was fired, he set the transformer pads to low, as in 14"-24" to low, I had a crew re-set them on CMU to the proper elevation. The trick is how do I get dirt under abig transformer pad and compact it so I dont have settling. There is no proper way, so what I am going to do is form them off, and pour the lean concrete/flowable fill under it to the bottom of the pad, it will set up and be 100% compacted and I will get no settling.
The good thing about it is you can dig it with a shovel, excavator, whatever. There is very little structural value to it, think compacted dirt, thats about it. It's not a cheap way to backfill but in certain instances its much faster and sometimes the best way to achieve what you are looking for.
    Hope this explains it.

this exact solution was one option our geotech gave to backfill around the septic tanks at my current job , self-compacting in restricted areas and consolidation of the excavation sidewalls

Finally installed all the Wemo Smart/ dimmer Switches throughout the house. Electricians who installed the switches really stripped the hell out of the screw heads that attach to the box. annoyed

Back to this. So I was explaining what I was using lean concrete for. This is what I meant, just poured a couple of these this morning. Transformer pad, threw some forms laying around on it and pumped it in through the opening. It levels itself out and fills all empty voids, then hardens and you have a no settling base. Thats 24" I filled up under the 6'x6' transformer pad.
Like I said, the thing I like about it so much is it is diggable. The 2nd and 3rd pic are of a piece I broke off, it sets up and will hold together, the 3rd pic all I had to do was push a little bit with my finger and it turns back to sand.
I believe this is what you were talking about, hope the explanation helps.

I need a toilet that doesn’t make me feel like I’m 10’ tall when I sit down. My wife is a little vertically challenged and it’s fine for her.

It's a Kohler Cimarron. You'll have about 8.5" from the center of the bolts to the back of the toilet. They're on sale at Lowes right now for $249 for the elongated tall.

I got home from work and found water about 1/4” deep in her closet and in our bedroom. Our bathroom has about 1/4” thick tile flooring, found that the exterior wall foundation had water running down it too. I hate PEX. I hate hastily built homes. This house was built in the fall of 2017… tearing into my walls was not in my plans for this weekend.

Definitely sucks. Slept in the guest bedroom last night to keep the fans going on the damp spots. Lucky I had just grabbed an 8 pack of damp rid tubs so those were disbursed within the rooms to help get the moisture out. For $10 and loss of my bathroom and bedroom I got water back on in the house until things dry out.

I don’t mind PEX in our crawlspace where it makes sense to me. I am nervous about it in our ceiling and walls but that’s what was done with our last set of work. It’s right over our range and nice new cabinets. I almost want to wrap it with a trough of PVC and feed to an open drain pipe like a water heater pan.
