This past Saturday (2/18/23) I finally locked in my allocation for a LR DCSB OR 6MT! I put my first deposit down with my local dealer on 3/5/22, so until Saturday, I was beginning to lose hope. They're anticipating mid April-May arrival. I'm hoping everything goes smooth from here on out because I'm tired of waiting lol. I'm excited to join the LR club!

I thought I had a long wait. I ordered my 6MT Access Cab on July 21 2022 and got the call in December that the allocation was received. Picked it up Jan 28th.

 

Congrats! A local dealer just got a allocation for LR DCSB OR 6MT with about 5 port options. Got a text yesterday morning asking me if I was interested. He did a sales order and I then put a deposit down. Looks like estimated build date is 3/15, so if all goes well hopefully I see it come April. I guess I kind of lucked out. I was not planning on getting back into a manual since I am going to be the only one who will be able to drive it, but I finally said WTF. It's going to be used as a secondary vehicle, so pretty damn excited.

 

Another option…..have some powdercoated. This is what I traded in for my Tacoma…..



Really liked the Black Rhino Arsenal wheels on it because of the close color match. I have contemplated ordering another set, removing the Black (plastic) bolts, having the center coated to match and then replacing the bolts. Just a thought. ‍

 

the dealer in Michigan, Suburban Toyota of Troy didn’t care I was from out of state they just didn’t accept out of state financing so unless I had a Michigan based bank/credit union they wouldn’t accept a loan check from Navy Federal or Bank of America or other national banking institution.
I paid in cash so it wasn’t affecting me just thought that was weird.

when I was searching for my car I called a couple dealers as far as Oregon who said they wouldn’t sell to anyone farther than 100 miles because they follow some local customer loyalty code of conduct, funny I didn’t know state lines decided who can buy things.

Dang! That’s crazy they wouldn’t sell to you. I’m in Central Washington and have bought 2 Toyotas out of state in the last year and a half. One in Nampa Idaho and One in Portland Oregon. Nothing about 100 mile radius, but did have to put down a non refundable deposit in case of a “no show”

 

I have a lunar rock ordered and should be in next week. I have a question. Why do some Trd off-road’s have chrome rear bumpers and others painted rear bumpers? Hopefully the one I have is painted. Is there a way to tell?

 

Tech package comes with painted

 

My truck is coming with the chrome bumpers no tech pkg, so planning on buying some painted caps/cover's.

Where did you get the TRD 4x4 OF decal from? Or is that how it came?
