Nice, that’s awesome and pretty interesting to hear. I’ve seen the one aviation thread but it seems like it’s mostly pilots. I’m also an A&P as well with a helicopter background.

to drive on the beach you need a surf fishing tag, which you can pick up at most state park offices. though you need to be actively surf fishing in order to do so, so unfortunately you can’t just drive onto the the beach and just park on the beach and swim, you need to have a line in the water too, but they go over all this when you get it

I’m a PA resident and get a vehicle pass in DE every year. The pass is a fishing license as long as you’re within a certain distance of your truck while on the beach. If you were to fish anywhere else you need a separate fishing license.

    Good morning Delaware Tacomas!

I don't normally "Call Out" from work but today...I did!

Man! Does it feel good not worrying about crap going on at work.

I think I could get use to this...lol!

I have a friend I met during my Boeing years who is currently taking a hiatus from work as well and is itching to get back into it.

Guess we both have different perspectives about work dynamics.

Let's see what Indeed has for open jobs. (That's always fun) lol

i think sometimes we get so wrapped up in our work that we forget that we have a life outside of work, and have to give ourselves a break, even if it feels wrong for some reason. i think we should normalize time off for ourselves, we need it!

Going back to work today--Having my one cup of coffee and chillin' on here for 5-10 mins before I start to move!

I've left a job that was stressful and in another state before I took my current position.

Working for Boeing starting back in Oct 2013 was great while they field-tested the QF-16 Program.

Once the testing was over, it was to JAX for what would be 2+ years of mental endurance.

I cut ties because the stress was affecting my sleep and mental capacity to fix/workaround broken processes.

    Guess what??? It's happening again.

Needless to say, it feels great knowing there's a time limit on work stress...that I'll endure for a little while and then make a move.

    Time to get rolling...
