Remember when

Think it started in the 90's for elementary students. Maybe only certain states do it. Started because a kid got off the bus and dropped something. Bus took off while he was still under it trying to fetch whatever he dropped. The bus monitor is supposed help the kid(s) cross the street and take a look under the bus before taking off.

 

I answered the door once, when I was 6 years old, at 1am. It was my aunt and uncle had just arrived for a visit after a longer than expected drive. I was the only one in the house that heard them knock. I thought nothing of it. Lol.

 

Remember when you were held accountable for the shit you said, were taught integrity and respect as values to be upheld in how you communicated with others?

 

Wow. How did we survive?

 

All that stuff died 50 years ago.

 

I guess it all depends where and when you grew up.

Living in the country we never used the front door only strangers knocked there and were ignored.

Friends always entered through the Kitchen Door .

Anyone remember when movies were good?

 

Yup, before everyone was trying to reboot everything versus being original

 

You know nothing Mel Brooks did will get rebooted in todays age

 

Though I saw a commercial for History of the World part 2 the other day..

That said I see your point.

 

They good ones were in the fifties and sixties.

Unless they were based on books I had read then they sucked.

Some of the comedies were good as long as I laughed hard they were good,

Though to me nothing touched the 3 stooges . Though I guess they really can`t be a movie.

 

There is still good stuff but it is few and far between.

Granted it's the first one I saw in a theater but Star Wars..mmmm

 

I think Star Wars was the last movie I saw at a theater .

I worked out of town most of the time after 12 hour or longer days sleep was better then any movie.

I still would rather read.

 

Or when the trailer didn't show every good scene in the movie?

 

Mostly true for me now..though I was only 3.5 years old when the first one dropped.
