It was an alllll day one which is why we were exhausted afterward.

Then we had a ton of family over right after for opening all the baby shower gifts :bananadead:

Our anxiety stemmed from the "before the hospital" part of labor but fortunately we learned a lot and what to look for.

Hope you and Monica learn a lot from it! Our class was small (4 couples total) so we had plenty of time to ask questions.

Also ended up giving my business cards to one of the guys that needs welding work done

Rental property, it's a beautiful thing.

And props to you for being her support; I bet she appreciates it way more than she's vocalized.

Hopefully it works out OK!! It is a good move long term. my mortgage is about half of what it would cost to rent a similar property

That's awesome you networked, maybe I'll sell some used truck parts.

The pre hospital labor part makes me nervous also, especially if I'm at work when it starts. 30 minutes work to home and then another 20 to the hospital.

Shiiit, didn't consider your travel time.

It'll be 20mins from school to home, then another 20 from home to hospital so here's to hoping it happens off of school hours for me and off of work hours for you :fingerscrossed:

We're going to hardscape it in the coming year, or sooner; everything front of the covered patio will be cement leaving just a 10' x 10' for synthetic grass.

    Baby has been priority.

Last thing we need is a baby monitor.

Wanted to go local monitoring only (no wifi) but feel we won't get good coverage from across the house.

Lol, i was just thinking about synthetic the other day and started reading up in it. I don't think I'm willing to put in the prescribed work of digging 4" of base soil out, replacing with substrate, and compacting it lol.

They were selling like hot cakes. They had 4 pallets of them three weeks ago and now they’re down to 12. They’re from an airport in Tulsa, Oklahoma - rewired to LED for Burning Man, and then ended up in Berkeley at a thrift shop.

Oh I looked into it before, it ain't cheap (if you're paying for it).

Last quote I got was something like $1750 or so for base installation which included all the digging out, leveling, rocks/pebbles, and other substrate they use, then barriers to prevent critters and weeds from coming up and through.

This install covered "xxx" number of square feet and anything up to "xxxx" square feet, you just paid the difference for the synthetic lawn itself per square foot.

@0xDEADBEEF since you hate chinese machines :luvya:

    Screenshot_20230226-133317_Facebook.jpg

Dude was like "I am 50 and shakey, but I can make one side look good still"

1" thick steel, and the machine is only rated for 7/8" max

Man they do seem to make some nice machines.

And to clarify, I don’t like the CCCP.
