Ifanyone is interested... Jen found a pretty damn good deal.

WalMart.com is selling Smittybuilt Powertanks for $286. That's about 100 bucks cheaper than 4wd Parts. Funny thing is, even though you are buying from WM at their price, it actually ships from 4wd Parts

Pretty quick shipping too... ordered on Sunday, arrived today.

People have mentioned using the Wilwood Brake proportion valve when they delete the Load Sensing Proportion valve.

Is this the Wilwood I'm looking for?

This is the one I run, but it's a full system prop valve. I removed abs which has internally a brake bias set config (reguardless what the factory rear prop valve is set at) Ex. Internally set 70/30 and then the load prop valve regulates the 1-30 for rear braking.

You'll want the latter in your posts, this will let you manually regulate the rear prop to your rear brakes. Eventually with disc F/R (your future rear axle) you may want to look into the full system and delete the abs since with that configuration I've found does not provide enough pressure/amount of brake fluid to the rear, you may find the same.

I had one of these POS from FROR and it never stopped leaking, I got rid of it and just kept the stock lspv. I have yet to get a part from them that isn't a steaming pile of poo.

With not ever having the ABS and not having to deal with deleting it. But keeping in mind the disc brakes that are soon to be installed in back. Which do you think would be best?

Would I need to go with a full system type like the black one? Or just go with the grey one or the Low Range one?

Fwiw I'm running the stock lspv with my fj80 rear axle discs and it works fine. I can lock the rears up on 37s if I want, I have the bar propped up so its sends "max" fluid to the rears. No ABS either.

I don't think my LSPV is working. My rear brakes bearly do anything, and I have mine up pretty far with a custom bracket.

I don't think it's going to give me the correct front/rear bias with disc's back there either. And having a Load Sensing adjustment is not really needed since the load in the back is almost always the same. I only drop about an inch when I load out for trips.

I also want to get that piece of shit off the inside of my frame, because it's going to end up getting in my way.

Hard to say since your config is slightly different. However it would be interesting to see what kind of pressure and fluid volume come out of each port of the non abs MC and compare.

Having said that, I would start to compare what calipers you want to run and look at the fluid volume needed. Places like Rockauto will give you some manf specs and can use websites to calculate volume.

I run the Tundra 13wl 231mm front with the F13 4runner rear calipers. Through testing found the rear calipers in factory config (abs inline) did not provide enough fluid pressure/volume. Forget where I found the abs brake bias, but after finding that decided to remove it. Then you plumb in the full system and adjust slowly adjust until you have a brake bias that suits what you need.

Having that to compare and also @slander running fj80 rear calipers with factory? Front calipers also show successful.

Definitely want to spend some time doing some math to get close vs throwing parts at it. And there is a balance between not enough fluid volume coming from the MC, upgrading the MC but then brake booster is too much/too little causing a soft or hard pedal.

Yea @ToyRyd04 factory Tacoma brake system running tundra calipers up front (the smaller ones) and fj80 discs out back. Now my truck is like 5500lbs in driving to the trail/road trip mode which is lighter than el diablos I believe. Hell I even welded the original to the truck LSPV back onto my new rear frame section LOL!!
