I'm sure they had a good talk with Jett after that. Outdoors you can get away with that. They seemed looser when it's at a mx park. The guy is 19. I said some dumb shit at that age too. Luckily I didn't have a million people see me.

I mean, to some degree they are both just racing incidents and not intentional. But everyone saw Jett destroy Forkner with a cross-jump, so read the room and maybe not comment on it. Ya he might've hit a tuffblock but he also was totally out of control through the whoops before that final turn and still chose to pin it up the face, causing the crash. Not smart. And he's calling other riders idiots on live TV last night. That's all I'm saying.

Well we aren't even half way thru SX yet and now we know. So I was half right. I said he wouldn't just decide at the end of SX because the team needs time to order parts and budget. But yes I was wrong about him doing the series.

I do think if he wasn’t doing this good in supercross he wouldn’t be racing outdoors

the real question now is if he will race supercross next season

Ya that was funny on RaceDay Live when they told Daniel Blair to ask him about next season now lol. If he can win the SMX title and be the "first champion" that would be a cool way to go out. Either way, I'm happy he's doing Outdoors because last summer was a blast with him and Chase going warp speed. Hopefully we get that again this summer. And add in Ferrandis and maybe even Jett (i assume both will be in the mix up front, at least a little bit.)

Both the Lawrence brothers have tons of talent and I think Jett's personality brings a lot to the sport and keeps the fans entertained. What about that wonder shoe boy Deegan? No podium huh? Gee that's too bad. :rofl:Bennick looked pro though. :p

Jett ran down Chasey at MXdN and pulled away like it was nothing. Early prediction: Jett is in the title mix for 450 outdoors this year.

I still haven't watched Arlington, but this thread is getting me excited.

I put very little stock in that race considering all USA had to do was not crash and cruise to victory.

Not saying Jett can't run up front, I mentioned in my prior post that I think he will. But that isn't a great race to judge, considering the circumstances.

Who knows. I think if most people had to put $ down, they would say Jett is likely going to continue to be very successful on 450s. That being said, Eli and Chase were on a crazy level of speed last year. Whether or not Jett (or anyone else) can run with them consistently all year, remains to be seen. It's possible that he could but id expect flashes of it but not an every race thing. Might take him a year or 2 for him to reach his max potential on the 450. But im wrong a lot too so who knows.

Wondering if Jett on the 450 is going to have the front slide out issues that Chase has.

Also wondering that. Jett seems to be better than Chase at hitting cruise control when needed but Jett also doesn't have much competition right now, to have to press. So it'll be interesting to see once Jett has to hang it out there a bit. And it'll be tough to say how much is the bike or set-up and how much is the rider. I guess we can also see if it happens less when Chase is on another brand.

I can’t believe he wasn’t seriously hurt in that crash.
Those were some decently exciting races. A lot of falls and lead changes.

Lotta things to think about on this post. Jett is only 20 currently, he has plenty of room to mature and figure things out but I think Chase sees the writing on the wall and foresees Jett becoming HRC's #1 in SX/MX with Hunter coming up soon as well. Chase DOES need to learn from Eli and Bubba's mistakes and know how to maintain a gap and settle in to a pace. Honda, according to what I have read and heard, changed their geo's to make the bike handle quicker and lost some stability. On a road race setup, it sounds like lack of trail under braking. Stiffer spring or offset triples can fix that easily....

Pulp has mentioned the weird HRC dynamic in a few different discussions. Mainly that Jett and Chase are alphas (hate that term BTW) and won't mesh. Plus HRC is vested in Jett at this point.

Ya I mean it's 2 legit #1 guys, so it's tough for the team to have them both under the same tent.

As far as the Hondas, they've been very aggressive since '09. It's not as easy as clamps or suspension to get away from the nature of that type of chassis. They are carvers when they hit on a set up and a bit sketchy when you miss the setup. And the window is small. That's the reason Eli wanted off of the Honda 450 and went to Kawi in the first place. It can work for some guys. Kenny is smooth and that helps (rather than a bulldog like Eli) but Kenny complained a lot too, so who knows.

Is it a contract year for Chase? I think it will benefit Chase to switch teams. Get some fresh air.
Chase and Kenny are the smoothest 450 riders out there. Kenny seems to be doing better this year getting off HRC.
