I would highly recommend removing this. It focuses all force on a rear end collision to your frame that’s holding the hitch rather then letting the rear bumper absorb some. Totalled my 2nd gen using this.

Well I’m aware of some saying that. I debated it but this one has a unique install with the rubber absorbent rings. I read their website and as I’m now I’m buying in that this particular model would act differently. Did you have this exact model ?

Thanks! I was a little apprehensive to do it at first but once I started it turned out to be on the of easier mods I’ve done

    Compiling the list!
Probably late to comment but the Exped is self-inflating. Open it as soon as you arrive at your location and it will be ready to go by bed time. I have several for Scouting and love them.

I started to install the rough country seat covers, but only the head rests were dry. Anybody else notice they smell a bit like tires? I hand washed them in the tub with a bunch of dawn soap and hot water and left them to dry in the sun yesterday, but they still have a faint tire stench to them. Maybe I'll wash them once more. :washing:

Got $300 for my low mileage Goodyear Wrangler tires(stock). Sold to a young kid with a 99 Toyota Tacoma 4x4. Was super stoked to save some cash. Was happy to help.

As of today, it's still only about 75% inflated. 1/4 of it is quite flat. My pump comes tomorrow but I don't think it's supposed to be like this. I'm planning to go exchange it at REI since I got it last November.

Yes I had that exact model with the rubber stops. All their models have those.

The other car was going about 25mph when it rear ended me, and it totalled my truck. Just giving you a heads up, man. If you’re set on it, then more power to you, just know from a physics standpoint, that’s what will happen.

You’re better off letting the rear bumper do it’s job and crumpling, and replacing it which is a few hundred, than using this, and having the frame bent and taking the bed and other suspension parts with it for $1000’s ( I’m my case it was $21,000)

Installed this last week and tested it out yesterday. Works as advertised.

I have the RC neoprene seat covers. They had a slight smell when new but went away quickly.
