Have you looked into modlite at all? I HIGHLY recommend it. Insanely bright and durable. I have them on all of my guns.

Yes, from all I have seen and read they are great lights along with Cloud defense and Surefire. I have just had good luck with Streamlight but they probably should try something else at some point.
I have been thinking a Geiselle SD 14.5 upper for this one which will probably be the last. But then I’ve considered a pistol or just getting a stripped upper and building from there.

I used to strictly be a surefire guy and never had an issue with them. Tried modlite and cloud and overall imo the modlite takes the cake. You honestly won’t be disappointed.

Geissele makes some quality guns so you can’t go wrong with that upper. Are you aware of the recent pistol brace ban? I know they are trying to overturn it but I’m not sure how long that will take.

Lol yes Sir I have done a bit of reading and probably watched every damn YouTube video on the subject.
I only have one toy that’s affected and have chosen my preferred route of compliance which is why I’m on hold with the new project figuring out which way I want to go.
It will most likely be a 14.5 upper but pretty open right now I’m in no hurry

You ever go to GunJoker and just put in a bid to see where someone else's autobid is, expecting it to be higher than your bid, but wind up winning the auction? Just did that on Friday on a white AUG, lol. Had not planned on buying it, but I've wanted one forever. My Die Hard collection just increased.

Deep down I really wanna get mine cut for an optic but on the HK it costs as much as another nice pistol to get it machined. Not a $100 Glock cut.

I'm probably one of the few remaining holdouts for optics on my pistols. I've fully embraced the front sight blur at my age and still do quite well. For now and for my intended use, I don't see the need to switch.

honestly I don’t have a single optic on a pistol but I feel like the HK45 would be a great candidate. Especially once I get a can for it (have the tactical model). It’s not like it’s small or concealable in the first place. All my dots to date are on PCCs.

Flip side is I could spend $150 and do it to my Glock to try for 1/4 the price.
