There is almost always a multi-vehicle discount involved. I think their opinion is that with more bikes you're riding each one and splitting the mileage and therefore the risk. Now that you're going to just one bike that assumes all of the risk hence, higher premium. None of this means I agree with it.

I have been loving the unusually warm winter weather here in PA this year. Got out yesterday for over 250 miles and grabbed a bunch more murals for the Grand Tour event. A few pics below.

This last one the picture only shows a small part of the whole mural. It runs the entire length of the building and is 2 stories high in places. Really impressive.

It's funny but at least in my area you don't realize how many murals are out there until you start looking. This event requires 20 to be considered a finisher. I'm now sitting at 151 and have until the end of September. Hoping for a podium finish at least.

The Honda was really saving you a lot of money and now that you're going to spend all your time on the Aprilia, they've increased it with the Honda being gone.

I keep the Navi around for insurance purposes, it reduces the rate on the Versys.

    Versys only: $200/year
    Versys + Navi: $198/year

I have some older (6+ year old Revit gloves that i love) and some Moose Racing Adv gloves that I just got. The Moose Racing ones dont have good venting, but also were $50. Ill use them for cooler temps. The velcro isnt that great either..

    These:

Hoping the replacement Revit gloves will last/be as good as the others.

Copying this from an FJR forum.

Get $60 back via Visa® Reward Card1 on the purchase of a new set of MICHELIN® On-Road Motorcycle tires, or $35 back via Visa® Reward Card1 on the purchase of a new set of MICHELIN® Off-Road Motorcycle tires, Scooter tires or Bicycle tires. Not valid with any other offer. Void where prohibited by law. Valid March 1–31, 2023.

Not sure who on here might need tires coming up. I just mounted a pair 2 weeks ago myself but I know I'll need at least one more pair this season, possibly even 2 pairs.

Burner phone for GPS, garmin on my USWE is how I run it.

I can reach the SOS button without looking in case shit REALLY hits the fan.

So far my cameras have been holding up to the vibration with the quad lock vibration dampener. The quad lock is super secure for riding but has popped off on crashes. It actually did yesterday and I ran back to get my phone since it still has a TON of baby photos/vacation videos I haven't offloaded yet.

Speaking of, 55 miles of pine barren single track with a big ass group of 12ish guys? Mostly all enduro competitors and some being in the A or AA class. I got smoked but had a blast.

[IMG]Untitled by Michael Halat, on Flickr

My repairs on my tail did not survive the ride.

Good thing is I have a new tail and I am adding flush mount signals to it for a clean look.

Which backpack is that? I want to get one as well for hydration and other misc stuff. And on that topic, where do you prefer to carry your tools? I used to have a Fanny pack with essentials and then a separate hydration pack. I’ve also seen rear fender tool bags.

The pack is a ranger 9, I am happy with it but it is as bare bones as you can get space wise. I used to carry my factory tool kit, a spare tube and zip ties in it but recently moved my tools to my bar bag. It opened up more space to now put an apple in my USWE.

    https://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/riding-gear/uswe-ranger-9-hydration-pack-p
    https://shop.trailbound.co/products/pad-pack-medium

So I used to have a rear fender bag on the DRZ because I had a rack and thought I needed to carry as much shit as I do for the truck. I have gone down a lot but still carry more than most for convenience, so the load out is basically this.

    Bar bag:
An improved version of the factory tool kit
    Pressure gauge
    Flash light
Single CO2 canister and valve to use it
    Tube repair kit
    Phone in the soft pocket
    Bars/snacks

[IMG]Untitled by Michael Halat, on Flickr

In the USWE lives a spare front tube, tire spoons/axle wrenches, a new Steel Stick, pliers, and a tow strap.

[IMG]Untitled by Michael Halat, on Flickr

I am probably forgetting some small misc stuff but that's largely it.

I do wish my pack had like webbing/straps on it to grab broken plastics to secure it to the pack. I have needed this feature twice now... :anonymous:

I don't think I've ever measured specifically, but ML sizing for AGV helmets fits me perfectly.
Lol I mean the guy who made the vid is also kind of an a-hole for sure with how he conducts himself, and I wouldn't doubt for a second that he's merited at least a few of his interactions, fair is fair.

Agreed. And there is a follow up where he has another interaction and the officer was totally fine and friendly. It was an honest mistake on the cop's part. But hating LEOs gets them clicks.

It's a Kramer chassis. They make a KTM powered track bike and I guess brand it as a Gas Gas. Very cool stuff.

    Anything for the views eh

Mini-review of the new Dunlop Q5S I put on last week - they rock. Don't think i realized just how much that flat center on my old tires was inhibiting lean in. These tires just ache to be leaned over, and have the grip for it. Now to see how many miles I can squeeze out of them.

I was on the 110 N yesterday in the Express Lane near downtown LA and came across a downed solo rider. He was an older guy on a Triumph cafe style cruiser. The car behind him described the death wobble as the cause. Poor guy's leg was in bad shape but otherwise lucky not to have been struck by anyone behind him. I stayed with him until first responders showed up.

Ouch. Hope he recovers, and glad it wasn't worse.
