I've come to realize the wildpeaks are just a heavy tire, my skinny 33s feel only slightly lighter than my current package and the 32s were heavy for a 32 as well

I'm chomping at the bit to see how mine does. I picked up aa set of studded Toyos around Christmas off the FB Marketplace and haven't had any snow to test them in. My Wildpeaks on my Ram were OK but nothing to write home about. I did get a chance to drive the Taco on the snow a little with the Rugged Treks on it and they seemed better than the Wildpeaks.

Surprised to hear this. My wildpeaks killed it in the snow. Maybe it was the Ram… jk..

Of course, studded will blow any un-studded away.

LOL. They weren't terrible and always got me where I was going, I just feel like the Coopers have more siping so they do better on the slippery pavement under the snow. When I bought those Falkens in like 2018 they were a good tire at a budget price but it seems like they're priced up there with the rest of them now.

Just about any tire under 37 lbs works well on these gen3 v6 tacomas.

How was it fitting them? Did you have to bash the pinchweld and firewall in?

I had a cmc done that I might have to redo or fix, pinch weld done, fever liner removed and intake rerouted to the cowl, still rubbing on uca lol. Gonna try out some spc's and redoing the alignment, otherwise I'm sticking the spacers back on and :sawzall:

    Damn, you have been busy.

There are alot of mixed reviews about the spc uppers. I am running them and am a fan of their adjustability, and their commitment to stand behind their product. I went through the warranty process last year because of a clunk I thought was coming from the UCAs and they were great to work with. Pretty sure the clunk was from something else that we discovered when replacing my lca’s last year.

I hope they do the job for you.

    Under 37 lbs? Aren't the stocker 265/65R17 or 26570R16 like 42 lbs?

I think my P285/70R17 Wildpeaks are 51 lbs and it's noticable. Can't imagine E rated weight.

All it took for Winter to actually come was my in-laws coming back from having been in FL since Thanksgiving.

Since they got back, weather has been shit.

I'm about to send them back down.

    LOL

    To many, but never done
I wish i could catch up...
    Busy busy busy....
Free time has been going to milling all the logs I've had down for awhile now.
Bad news is im having to make makeshift enclosures for it because i can only store so much inside.
    KIMG3509.jpg KIMG3503.jpg
Never done this before so a bit of a learning curve.
2- 24"x8' logs done, 1 left to do.
    The 3- 28"x3' logs
    2- 20"x8' logs
And 1 28" by 16' but that will probably turn into a 8'-10'.
I may need to get a bigger saw but I've yet to figure that out.
    Now i have to buy a planner...:anonymous:

I go next door to Chevy to bother my friend that works there as a tech. He’s doing a pre delivery inspection on a new Corvette that the guys wife bought for him and he doesn’t know.

    @Johnny balls

I (think) I remember you saying you had a local subaru expert. The timing belt for my wifes outback is overdue for a replacement. Trying to avoid the dealership if possible.

I have a friend on the shoreline that did my wrx when I lived down there, but its kind of a haul.
