Probably a dumb question, but is there a product that can be inserted into the seat tracks to limit the travel of the seat?

The problem (not a serious one) is: I’m 6’-2” and have my truck seat adjusted to suit me. My 5’-8” daughter borrows the truck and moves the seat forward. When I use the truck the next time, it takes me 3-4 tries to get the seat returned to where I prefer it.

I’m looking for a block, or something that slips into the seat track, that will prevent the seat from moving too far rearward. Chances are, because I’m a cheap SOB, I’ll end up making the parts, I’m just curious how others have solved this.

So you are not wanting the daughter to be able to move the seat to fit her when she borrows your truck?

@imagineer , I have no idea, but I'd imagine you could fasten a bolt to the track to keep it from going further than you want the seat...

Use a metallic sharpie to put a small dot on the plastic side of the center console (plastic part) to mark some reference on your seat. Maybe the buckle or edge of the bolster etc. A little isopropyl alcohol will remove the dot if needed.

Small wood dowel, put inside the track. Any hobby lobby would have them.

I would recommend putting equal dowels in both tracks.
