2018 3.5 6MT Fuel System Issues

    My dad’s 2018 TRD OR with the 6MT, 138k miles on the truck is at local Toyota shop, needs at least one of the fuel injectors replaced @ $500 a piece. They’re not explicitly recommending that he replace all of them but they’re also not, not recommending he replace them all. They’re saying it’s 5 hours labor to do just one of the injectors. All in price to replace is looking like $4500+ tax. He’s had the truck since new, drives it pretty easily, mostly highway miles. Truck has only ever been serviced at this same Toyota dealer. To me this doesn’t seem like a fairly common issue with these trucks. Anybody have thoughts on this?

    Dang that sucks … but dealer pricing will be expensive af. $4500 is all of the injectors ? How about the price to just fix the problem not just throw parts at it ?

    I would be getting a second opinion on that. I don't think there is one example on TW of a direct injector failing.
