I was checking that place out earlier, it looks sick! About 5.5 hours from me so still doable for a weekend. If I had more time here I would definitely check it out. Instead I’m planning a trip to uwharrie in April as my one good bike trip while I’m here.

Sounds fun! my poor dirt bike hasn't gotten any love recently, but I finally figured out where I'm going to end up for work and I'll be in Indiana where I'm 40 minutes away from an offroad park for the bike or 4runner

I know chances are unlikely but you are able to join the trip to URE if you’d like, the more the merrier. When are you moving to Indiana?

 

I'm not sure that's what we'd call responsible parenting.

 

I'd tag along if I'm available, that sounds fun. August 7th is the first day of work, so ideally moving a few days before then. I still need to find a place to live, and I'm hoping I can get somewhere with a small garage for shenanigans

I’ve honestly never heard of Gasgas until now. I guess I’m old

 

I hadn't either until I started doing research and talking with my buddies who ride. I was hesitant to buy it simply because I hadn't heard of them but ultimately that's a pretty dumb reason not to buy a bike if it's a good bike.

 

Relatively new. 80s I think. But they only made trials bikes for a long while. And trials aren't as popular here as in Europe. And motorcycle companies come and go.

I do but I also will be hiking in Acadia and possibly hiking in NY in April but who knows what might happen from now till then.

After you mentioned it I was googling videos of the place and came across one of a dirt bike going up the Daniel trail that had me frothin.

 

That sounds gnarly lmao we’ll see if my confidence level is there for that but I’ll ride bitch on your bike while you do it.

 

You're used to long trips up here for AOAA, let's do that. Can't be a worse time then spending all fucking day on Toyota Trap.

 

I've considered AOAA as well, I'm not against it at all. Uwharrie just seems dryer which I prefer, plus 2 hours closer. Plenty of time to decide, I'm just waiting on my wife to get her schedule.

 

Had some fun modding the bike today since a bunch of stuff arrived.

-Skid plate
-fork stickers
-FMF Exhaust
-wrap around hand guards
-front and rear rotor guards
-grab handle for the rear
-bigger rear brake “pedal”
-some red replacement cover, idk what it actually is but it looks cool.
