Up here our fish is a pickerel..
That looks like a pike.
AKA “SHIT FISH”
All they do is destroy equipment. Pickerel will thrash until they die or rip their mouth off their body

 

We call them jacks. When I looked them up it says chain pickerel. First time I ever caught one was in a spring fed black water pond.
