Just finished In Through the Looking Glass and starting Vorpal Blade by John Ringo.

 

Started reading Armor by C.B. Titus
Follows a sentient set of armor that eats whoever dons him, then he decides one day to betray his master and masquerade as the last foolish adventurer to wear him and sets out of the dungeon with his new party.

 

Tom Clancy The Bear and The Dragon .

 

Couldn't do it. I got about 60 pages in and got to a point where he would use the same word to start ~15 lines in a row, then another word to start the next 15 lines in a row and so on. Too much repetition and flowery stuff for me. Maybe I'll try some Emily Dickinson in the future but for now I'm on to "Farenheit 451" by Ray Bradbury.

 

Barrackroom Ballads by Kipling is the best if you're into poetry.

just started Manxsome Foe by Ringo.

 

I'll have to check them out. I'm not really into poetry, just trying to read some broader subjects.

 

I never got into poetry but what was forced in school very long ago.

I really miss the used book stores in my area all closed.

 

Kipling is the only poetry I'll read. A lot of that has to do with so many of my favorite sci-fi writers reference him.

 

Finished this last night.

 

The Mechwarrior books were pretty good too if you haven't read any of them yet.

 

I used to have a bunch of Battletech and Mechwarrior books, probably around 40 or so. Stupidly got rid of them during a move, along with all of my Star Wars novels. Been checking used bookstores while traveling for work trying to rebuild my collection.

 

I am more into the fantasy these days dealing with the talents of people rather then the hardware side of Science Fiction . Lots of Satire and Humor . Things to make me laugh out loud.

I did read all the Science Fiction Greats back in the seventies .

No telling just what I might pick to read again.

Being a hardcore Reader since 1968 not many Genres I have not explored I did tend to gravitate to series Books.

 

Finished "Farenheit 451". 100% absolutely agree with the message but felt like the ending was rushed. Felt like he made his point with the first 75% of the book and couldn't figure out how to actually end it so he just

nuked the whole city.

Starting "An Edge in the Kithchen" by Chad Ward before I invest in some better kitchen knives.

 

Wow that was a Blast from the past I read that only one time.

Long long ago I wonder If I can find my Copy

 

Definitely enjoying this one, recommend the laundry files as a whole.

 

I have yet to read that one I read a few books in that series.

No longer working the new book purchases are on hold .

 

Currently rereading The Collegium Chronicles by Mercedes Lackey

I have enjoyed many of Her Books over the years

 

Starting up the MHI series again
