We haven't had much of a winter here but mine was inoperable several times when I came out to leave for work in the morning on the couple of days that we had a very light dusting of snow. It would come back on after a mile or two of driving.

 

Mine did the same on the few days we had that were extremely cold this winter. I had the notification on start-up that it was disabled and then a few miles down the road it became active once the truck warmed up.

 

Thanks for the feedback. Honestly sounds like mine operates better than others. Only issues I’ve had is when ice is clearly present and potentially covering a sensor.

 

You're gonna laugh, but sometimes mine will get disabled during the bug season Spring and mid Summer. I drive past a good bit of farm fields and the bugs are crazy and will annihilate the entire front of your vehicle...

I own a 2nd gen Taco, I have no idea what the 'PCS' thing is ?

 

Ha. I know the feeling with bugs. I started a big road trip driving through some type of massive bug migration. Was so bad I almost went to a DIY truck stop car wash the next day. Then I made it to PA and the torrential downpour was a free car wash lol

PCS = Pre Collision System (also permanent change of station lol)

The fancy electronics that can be a PITA. Although I will say, the side view mirror warnings of vehicles in your blind spot are very useful.

 

I had that happen during the white fly hatch on the Susquehanna up above Harrisburg.

 

Yea, it's the craziest darn thing! Just driving along and you'll see the swarm. Constant splats for a mile

 

You can hear them splatting against the car. It’s creepy!

 

I had @dave5623 do the 2019. I'm thinking about doing it myself (would have to pick up the software and cable). If I don't do it myself I'll reach out to @dave5623, he's great to work with.

 

I looked into getting the equipment for it, bought about what the worse thing that could happen if I did it myself, decided against it lol.

Anyone looking for TMPS sensors? In Queenstown, MD. @fatfurious2 are you the one that buys these everytime they come up?

 

No sir. I haven't had tpms in so long. But my light hasn't burned out yet! Its been years!

 

3rd gen tacoma rear bumper, fabfours brand I think, anyone interested before I put it on marketplace?

Duct tape, the universal problem solver!

 

I could use these if they work on a 2nd gen Taco. The 4runner wheels that I run never had the sensors, it would be nice for the light to go off.

 

I just told @fatfurious2 , duct tape is much cheaper and simpler. You can even get a cool color. How about pink tape covering the TPMS light?
