Grocery store today. List is long. Thankfully there is a bank located in the grocery store

Lots of rain yesterday also. We got lucky here. Temps stayed warm enough to keep the rain in liquid form. A few slick spots coming home from work last night.

Good morning everybody, have a great Tuesday.

Enjoyed our unseasonably warm weather yesterday in the woods with a buddy looking for old stuff. Found a couple of cool spots.

Will take advantage of todays nice weather to wash the truck.

61* and sunny in CVa... supposed to hit 71, was in the 80's a couple of days ago.
the trees are budding and the grass is growing in February... its just weird....

36° and drizzles in north central merry-lund. Last Friday I made a hole in the floor directly above the woodstove in the basement, in hopes that the radiant air would help warm the upper level a bit better then the way that I was drawing the trapped heat under the floor by means of a register on a return duct and pushing it through the duct work via running the HVAC fan on recirculation. Expectations were greatly surpassed! I haven't had to turn on the recirc fan since Friday and it is effortless to get the upper level into the mid 70's. I ordered a fancy grate w/ closable vents from the orange store, I will share a pic when I get it installed. Right now I just have a regular wall register sitting in the hole, it looks bad...

That brought back some memories of I-80 between Cheyenne and Laramie, there were always trailers flipped over on the sides of the pass. I was talking to a driver one time and he told me that the trucks that ran that route on a regular basis had an 'oh shit' button on the dash that would release the 5th wheel lock and jam on the trailer brakes in hopes that the wind would only flip the trailer and not the tractor.

 

That's a very common sight in the High Desert of Socal and in the Inland Empire


With all those semi trucks rolled over that's going to make a Heavy duty tow truck company some serious $$$$$ . To upright a semi truck nowadays it takes two 50 - 75 ton rotators to do this safely . The cost to upright a truck is $5k to over $10k
