Yeah I feel the same about mine. The 265's aren't so small that it looks silly but I know a larger tire would look better. The performance loses have stopped me so far, unless I end up finding a larger AT that doesn't weigh a ton I'll stick with my current size.

For the speedometer, can't it be calibrated through your tuner?

Yea that’s the same plan for me from now on, stick with the 265’s.

Oh that’s an interesting question about the speedometer. Can it be recalibrated? I was under the impression you can’t change the one in the truck and you would just have to get something aftermarket. I hope I’m wrong because that would be great.

265 AT tires do not look silly but street tires do look silly if you have mods added to your truck such as racks, other things.

Some people have 265/70/16 (or 17 depends on model trim)... Instead of 265/65(rim size here)

Hopefully someday I get 285 installed after lift is installed. I am considering to get aftermarket bumper for front end.

The aftermarket bumpers always look good and add alot of functionality. I’m sure it’ll look great especially on your truck.

Yeah same, I don’t think I’m gonna bother spending the money while I’m running 265’s.

Taking care of a few little things today; changed the cabin air filter. Old is on the left and new is on the right, I think the old one still had some life left but I’d rather do it now so I don’t forget. 11,951 miles since I changed it last.

It was a beautiful day out on the trails today; my truck is built to do exactly this kind of trip. About 100 miles each way to and from the trail with about 10 miles of trail riding in the middle. Couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day :D

    Great photos.

A few years ago, I went to off road park... it was fun which some trails have deep mud... and they told me to go uphill.. it was scary... I made it on my second attempt.

Yes I did. I got it washed off afterwards.. I haven't been gone out to off road trips since then... Hopefully I plan to go someday in a few months.

I finally got an appointment set up for next week to have the frame professionally sprayed. I’ve been looking forward to getting this done for a while given the history of the Tacoma’s and frame rust.

Sure, I could do it myself but I don’t have a lift or enough jack stands to get the whole truck up in the air and do a full inspection of the frame. The shop I chose is highly regarded and the job comes with a 10 year warranty plus they will do a yearly inspection and reapply a coat if needed. They treat the inside of the frame as well, from my understanding. I’ll post an update after the job is done.

Just got the truck back from the shop that did my undercoating. Holy new frame Batman. It literally looks newer than the day I bought the truck.

They eliminated the small amount of rust that was on the frame and did a complete cleaning and then applied cavity wax and a proprietary blend they get from Noxudol. They also did the fenders and hood. I’m beyond excited about the results, and it comes with a 10 year warranty. I’d say this was one of the most important steps in getting my truck ready to be the 300K+ mile vehicle I want it to be.
