Idk, maybe it’s just me but the one time I really wanted the remote start to work the truck decides “nah”. I tried the three press and hold on the fob (which worked fine before) and nothing. Then I go to the remote connect app and get nothing but errors. What’s even more aggravating is how the app worked to remotely unlock and lock the truck, just not start it.

I’m thinking about the N2 with the long range fob…has anyone has any experience with the long range fob that could chime in with input?

Mine works from my phone as long as doors are closed and locked.

I haven’t found the right sequence from the FOB to work though :annoyed:

Literally the one time we had any measurable snowfall on Long Island was the one time I wanted to warm the truck up before leaving for work at 530 this morning lmao. Normally I don't care but...this one irked me lol.

    Just use the Fob.
Click....click....click and hold ...truck flashes three times and starts. Every time.

Trust me, I tried. The parking lights flashed three times and...did nothing. That's why I was so infuriated.

I just did it on my truck for fun. It's still 74 degrees here tonight lol.
Here's what I did, just for you with the lock button...
    Click a thousand and one
    Click a thousand and two
Click and hold a thousand and one two three.
Lights flash and I hold it through it and it starts and I let off!

    Good luck!

That's the exact procedure I followed. And after the third click, I get nothing. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It's really annoying.

The absence of wind does not make it suddenly warmer. Sitting in an iced over car where it’s so cold you can’t think, and all you can do is say “F*CK!” about 11 times at the top of your lungs because it’s so cold and everything sucks. Its not a place I care to ever have to be again. Lake effect winter can go f*ck itself.

To answer you question about the N2 Designs system... It works well. I have the app instead of the long range fobs, but it works every time as long as the truck and I have cell service. I actually never use the fob, always the app.
Some of the SR owners use the long range fobs to gain the power lock function. There are probably some threads that you can search to ask for feedback.

How is the reception in the truck where it’s parked. It needs connectivity even with the FOB.
