It’s not trolling if the fish jump in the boat and ask you to squeeze them.

PLUS, we learned about @Bertw192 ’s Isetta!

    Good spot!

Looks like the short bed wheelbase is getting longer?

Under the cover of the bed you can see what looks like the side of the Tundra wheel arches sticking thru.

Can see the same axle nut cap that the tundra uses as well.

I look forward to a smoother driving truck. Not looking forward to the laundry list of complaints.

The Tahara plant is starting to make the Lexus RZ (battery-only crossover SUV) which may prove quite popular and require more capacity at the plant.
The 4Runner is the only "Toyota" made at that plant; everything else is Lexus. I don't run Toyota, but if I were going to assemble a vehicle that shares a majority its parts with the Tacoma...I'd be thinking Mexico or Texas.

I think some of them are also made at the Hamura plant as well. I think they might have a capacity issue in Mexico and Texas, and from what I have been seeing, they have a quality issue coming out of Texas at the moment.

I know I won't buy a 4 runner not made in Japan, but thats not really an issue on my end, I am a fan of the current design and since they made the 5th gen for so long and they last so long there are plenty to choose from.

You're saying 4runner is leaving Japan? If that's a yes I highly doubt it .

Being made in Japan is one of the things that make the 4Runner desirable. Why eliminate that?

If everyone would fucking stop paying them, they wouldn't charge them anymore. I swear half of the rising cost of things is just people paying too much for their shit and the companies going, ok let's just make that the price then.

If the next Gen 4R ends up sharing the same platform as the Tundra and Tacoma, then it would make good business sense to shift production to Mexico or Texas.

This. I went to three different dealers when I was shopping, two of them had $5,000+ "market adjustment fees" added to the price once we started doing numbers. Literally stood up and walked out on them without explanation. Eventually, I found a dealership that wasn't marking anything up, probably because they realize when the economy heads south people will remember who was trying to screw them and who wasn't. If we go into another recession, these dealerships will be begging people to buy new cars and they should remember that.
