Would make sense. I have a 10" with around 100 teeth for aluminum

Idk if smaller od stuff makes the cut cleaner but my saw can't cut 16g 2.5"-4" stainless with a weldable joint. It takes a lot of prep to get it even. On my IC pipe, same thing. The 3" IC pipe left a little bend in cut at the end. I tried like every way I could to fix. Even holding by hand cause I though clamp was bowing it. The band saw makes perfect cuts everytime so I only use the chop on steel and dom.

I have those $100 blades for each material too. btw.

    Is the piece clamped appropriately?

Those kinds of large burrs tells me the piece moved or vibrated even.

I put a slight but constant pressure, and move slow.

    Oh he's cutting thin stuff?

They have a separate blade for really thin stuff I'm sure.

I cut thin stuff on the bandsaw.

If you're doing pie cuts the band saw is a pain

Yeah, i don't think you can cut thin round tube with the chop. When it gets to the bottom of cut it tracks off course. Super frustrating when you are trying to tig.

Well come up here and do a project haha. It's always open for TW members that need something. I'm on the way to the start of a lot of trips we do so folks come by and take care of things or sometimes limp back.
