RCI cat guard for free with purchase of transmission skid. I’ve gotta say they’re nice too and easy install. Works only with RCI or trd pro front skid. Ordered mine and had both delivered in 4 days

I went with Miller Cat. Out of the reviews I read for different brands, Miller Cat impressed me the most.

To be fair, I'm new to this forum and didn't even know about Cali Raised before I ordered the CatShield.

What old cat guard do you have that you think can't fit?

    Desert Offroad from Dallas…..

called and made sure……..doesn’t matter……that CAT guard and my 2010 belongs to a new owner……and a Major reason the guy bought the truck, plus my hard bed cover, that also did not fit my new truck.

Just bought Miller Cat stainless, should show up soon. I looked at the other options, and most were in the $300-400 range. Went this route because of the fitment (no overlap with front TRD skid), and steel option.

Cali Raised looked like an inexpensive option, but sometimes you get what you (don't) pay for.

I’ve looked at same issues, what I like about Cali raised was ventilation, which I think Miller CAT has less…..

curious why you went with steel model vs aluminum……10%less and less weight for MPG

I went with Miller Cat stainless. Was easy to put on. Look up the related threads and there is plenty of tricks to make easier. AE5D2B6D-1B6F-42F7-911B-42805D5457D5.jpg

Stainless is stiffer and a bitch to cut through. These don’t prevent theft, just try to make it hard enough that the methheads move on… hopefully to a Prius.

I’ve got Miller Cat shields on both my Tacoma and my wife’s Prius, so hopefully they will not try a Prius, besides like you said they don’t prevent thief, but they do encourage thieves to find an easier target.

IDK but the SS isn’t that heavy. Crap in the cab will effect mpg more than this. And it’s a bit of a light skid plate too, a little bonus.

I went MillerCAT simply because the CaliRaised thread here was littered with people waiting and waiting for shipping notices and upwards of 6-8 weeks to finally get their guards. Plus there were a lot more people trying to troubleshoot fitment issues than I saw with MillerCAT users.

I also liked that it was the only one that Toyota officially has with a Toyota parts number. That was the last bit of confidence that even Toyota acknowledged and addressed the issue to offer the MillerCAT without needing to make their own.

I just ordered the Cali Raised version last night. Stainless, vented, $171 with free shipping. But it's a 30 day lead time. The way my luck has been lately my cat will get stolen in 29 days .

MillerCat stainless steel. Bolt on, no drill, easy install, no rattles. For me, it was a tough decision because there are many good shields available.

Stainless steel is thicker material than aluminum. My thinking was it would be harder to saw through and no rattle.
