    A few.
    Morning All,

For some reason I’ve been waking up at 6:00 am EST for the past few weeks… I live in MST.

On the bright side I’m two weeks ahead of Daylight Savings Time switch.

    Goodmorning crew :pccoffee:
Work load is extremely low this week and it's making for some very long 10 hr days.
I've been doing some online shopping for work/outage related tools; new tool post grinder and feed table, stones and slip-ring polishing stones.
Kind of a pain because I have to get everything I want in order and give it to a vendor to supply it to us as a slip-ring grinding kit.
It would be so much cheaper if they just let me order it individually but more of hassle getting it approved for purchase. Something like that:crazy:

Other happenings in Toe's world; been shopping motorcycles. Last Friday I see one that catches my eye 2019 VStrom Adventure for $10k and like 5k miles. Saturday morning it was sold, actually sold that Friday I was looking at it.
My daughter received a call from dealer that they had a new Rav4 that fit her criteria but she had told them she had changed her mind and wanted a new Tacoma 5x4 SR5 instead. Kind of a pain this waiting game is now days.
As far my motorcycle shopping goes I need to try and remember patience is key.
    Easier said than done.

    Agree!
The 70's were really the golden age of Japanese stereo gear. The receivers especially were simple, beautiful, well made and excellent performers.

Around 1980 the marketing folks took over giving us things like flashing "power meter" lights and graphs on speakers -- the magic was gone. :pout:

Priced some of that old 70's Hi-Fi equipment awhile back and some of it is quite expensive.

    True.
There are electronic repair fellows who refurbish receivers to like new condition, good for another 40 years service. Guys with excellent reputations will have appointments more than a year out.

During the late 70's the "receiver wars" were raging, the first 100 watt units were big deals in the publications of the day like Stereo Review.

My first real stereo was an wooden RCA console built in the late 60's. I bought it at a rummage sale for $40 hard earned minimum wage dollars.

While it wasn't cool or stylish like the "systems" my friends had it played loud and was reliable as an anvil.

Man, some of those old receivers weighed a ton!

So Monday sucked. I got rear ended at a stop light. My bumper might be pushed in so I got to get it check out.

The dude’s grill, fenders and hood latch (Mitsubishi Outlander) were messed up. Of course he lied about having insurance.. Just a PIA dealing w crap like this. Though I’m glad I had the trailer hitch to take the brunt. I want to keep this truck for another 200K miles

    Good Morning everyone :hattip:

I hope you have a great Wednesday!

That's a bummer but at least no injuries.
There were times in my youth that I didn't pay and had my insurance expire but luckily never had a accident. Very glad I'm able to pay my bills now, teenage and early 20's were such a struggle.

We actually have those days now where they send notifications out for non-essential personnel to stay home. My first 15 yrs employment it was never heard of. Kind of have the feeling a coworker fatality during adverse weather is a contributing factor.
He was a very nice guy:pout:
