I have shell, and I carry tools all the time in the bed, I’m not sure if these are stock springs or not. In my opinion they seem to be over stressed or bad. it’s a 2001 4door 2wheel drive Tacoma

Can you get a picture from the back looking down the length of the spring?

What is the height difference, left side vs right? I see it has a u-bolt flip kit but that is not to say the leafs are aftermarket.

Oof! The three upper springs are basically just sitting on the overload leaf.

I don't think they are stock springs. The overload leaf isn't shaped the same way I recall my stock springs being.

You should consider a new pack, probably HD or custom, to carry the weight of the camper + tools.

Yes that doesn't look right. You want to have a positive arch and not negative. So your leafs might already be worn out and out of shape even without load.

They look stock, mighty frowny, and in need of replacement.

The General HD springs would probably be a good fit, although there have been some complaints about General Springs quality lately.

With the shell and tools, I really suggest custom (call deaver, all pro, etc...) over GS HD. It's expensive, but you'll get a much higher quality ride outta them.

Yep yep. I have had no issues with my Deaver springs. Loaded them down pretty good a few times and they always go back to where they sit unloaded.

Deaver looks solid! Thanks for sharing. Do I need shocks too? Or just the leaf will do it?
