hook up a gerbil feeder to the diff breather so it auto fills

 

Once I get home, just got out of class and I'm exhausted

 

If it leaks, it's got oil

 

until it doesn't and I get a locked up differential out in the middle of nowhere lol

I hope I can fix the throttle lag before we go or I might be chugging up the mountain pretty slowly, might have to bite the bullet and buy a new TPS at the local dealer for 150% mark up

Hey Ryan, what size fuel tank does your runner have? Is it 15.4 gal or 18.5 gal?

 

Bold to assume they'll have it in stock before this weekend

 

Are you buying a 4runner?

 

did they come with a 15 gallon tank? I thought they'd have the same 18.5 as the 6 lug Tacomas

my gas gauge is kind of wonky which I hear is really common on these early 3rd gens. It will start going down super quick then rise, go down, rise, etc etc.

I've filled up right above the E line with 13.5 gallons so maybe it is only 15.4...I'll have to dig and see

 

That's crazy. Understandable, but crazy. Might make me move on from this one, we'll see

 

He just picked up a 3.4l 5spd manual one too, I forget the year I think a little newer than mine.

 

That makes sense, yeah my 4r was also 18.5. But filling up I can only get a max of about 15.

 

yeah that tracks because the light is supposed to come on with 2.5 - 3 gallons left, I haven't gotten it to the light yet on the T4R so I suspect I do have the 18.5

 

My owners manual says mine is a 15.4, but when I look at places like edmunds.com they say it is 18.5.

I first noticed something odd on the first leg of the drive from Boise. To Penlelton Or is 220 miles. The dash gauge was down to the 1/4 tank mark and I could only put in 10.4 gal.

 

Yeah there is a very active 3rd gen T4R Facebook page that I read through, way more active than the 4runner forum on here. They talk a lot about the inaccurate gas gauges these have.

 

You can clean the level sensors if you ever decide to remove the pump

29 gallon aux tank for 3rd gen Runners from LRA will fix ya

 

It sems odd to me but thought that maybe ones newer than mine might have got a larger tank.

V6 limited 4x4 with rear locker which is mainly why I knew about the gear ratios yesterday
