Yeah, I liked the Stradic 2500 so much I got the next one up to pair with my St Croix heavy/med. Literally got rid of like 8 rods for 2! Downside is the 2 cost 4 times more than the 8! lol

yeah, but the upside is, break it and you get a brand new one for freeeeeeeish... haha. an argument can be made that you already paid for it in the original price, but St. Croix does provide some absolutely amazing feel and sensitivity in their rod blanks. I have a 7'-6" St C Legend MH that is my go to jig rod. My Stradic 2500 is my drop shot reel, on a Crucial. I can argue both for and against high priced fishing gear, but I am certain that if you have the funds available, the benefit to nicer gear is more enjoyment and less gear related stress.

No argument from me! I've been trading out things this past year for quality things over quantity including my guns, alcohol, tools, etc.. and literally can't find anything else to mod on the Taco! lol I just got a lever action 9mm rifle that is pretty sweet and the suppressor is coming in next week!

I used to sell fishing gear and firearms, so I have too much nice gear, obtained at a discount. It was a dream job, but I couldn't stay. Temptation at every turn and a minimal check to cover it.

That’s why I’m glad I don’t live near my favorite fly shop! I would probably be single!

I used to sell furniture - back when I first moved out of my parents house. Cost + 10% for employee purchases. I only made a tad over minimum wage back then but I knew I was never going to get another chance to buy nice stuff for that price. Went without a lot of splurges for a couple of years but I got a shit ton of furniture. And still have all of it. One of the best things I've ever done.

same but I could actually live in mine - I have indoor plumbing!

be safe Bill - hope there's no damage from it.

i thought it was bad to bury your poo in the desert as the soil lacks the bacteria to break it down?

currently debating what to do for my vacation/roadtrip this year. i currently have 120 hours of vacation pay that I need to use by june 7th. done the same-ish loop for the last two years and i've gotten rained/snowed on most of the trip both times.
trying to figure out somewhere new to go to. sigh...dilemma
