Just had a muffler shop run it up along the frame to keep from crushing it with the spring under kit and used dirtskum bezel and exhaust tip and dumped out the side5A263BBB-5AAC-418F-8C4D-A20C83758A05.jpgDE279DCE-1990-4B27-BA9C-4014F8AA7E07.jpg

Is that a daisy chain harness underneath the shifter bezel? Im gathering parts to do something similar to what TacomaBeast offers on their site for Turd Gens but for 2nd Gens.

This has been something I've been wanting to do with mine. I was going to have it routed in front of the rear passenger tire but I think behind it might be better instead of having to deal with routing it over the frame.

I lost her last key and the door clicker. Luckily it's parked where it's not a huge deal. But I'm guessing this won't be cheap. :spending:

I would see if the dealer can produce a key for your vin. I would also call good local locksmiths. A good locksmith has saved me tons in my life. You can get good new fobs cheap on eBay. Most of them that I bought there had simple programming instructions. I learned years ago to keep at least 3 keys and 3 fobs. Be nice if your locksmith could get a vin matched key code to cut new keys. Worst case is replace the ignition switch which is not a hard job. The door locks would be another issue.

Hey Y'all first post on this forum. First time Taco owner. Recently I got myself an '05 reg cab 4x4 with a stout 2.7L motor. As you could probably assume by my username.

I've done several things over the weekend after purchasing her. This is us driving her back from the dealer.324063348_1630111984139586_2917195575996463093_n.jpg

The first thing to get fixed were the struts on the camper. Easy peasy.

    324217574_3420827838244539_3190482066992097093_n.jpg

Immediately after that, the lady complained about how hard it was to get in and out of the bed. Both of us being vertically challenged, I sought out to change that with one simple mod.
    328089338_629629762499599_1124076253999938801_n.jpg 328442341_719072076274907_704562919877752398_n.jpg

Next up was the topic of being able to see in the dark, which by human standards our taco was legally blind. It gave me a chance to refresh the front end, giving it less of an SUV look. I think the end result is a meaner looking front end. Oh, and we can see again.

The stock suspension seemed... fine? It felt like riding a bucking horse and therefore an inconvenience for the missus. I found some takeoffs of a 2018 TRD OR for pretty cheap on craigslist and proceeded to install them.

Sorry for the lack of photos during the installation process, getting the UCAs off and freeing the spindle nut took up like 2 hours of my life.

    332049860_204705162152778_2117473452132242554_n.jpg

Afterwards, to test the ride quality we crawled up the steepest dirt road locally... which happened to be to the top of an old cemetery. It rides great and I honestly am happy with how much better life is from a 150 dollar upgrade.

Next weekend is going to include installing a TRD skidplate off of a 3rd Gen and swapping the god awful bench seats out for bucket seats.
I was able to find a skid plate on ebay for 250 dollars and pulled off some seats and console from a 2008 at a pick and pull. All parts were in amazing condition and they even threw in a free hitch that just needs some cleaning. Also going to be changing out the oil after putting on the new skidplate.

I’m adding switches to the dash to power a signal bar and two rear bumper lights. I should’ve taken the dash apart more and I paid for it, since I ended up doing it today.

The bar is all wired up, and now I just gotta run and wire a front facing camera and the bumper lights

Oh, ok. I was gifted a light bar but have no idea how to do all that. I also need mounting brackets for it and have not gotten around to buying them as I always have other properties. Supposedly is a good brand.

If you google the brand and wiring diagram you will probably get some instructions on how to do it
    What brand is it?

Good idea. I just seem to always be busy with something else. It’s either Rigid Industries or Baja Designs or something. I can’t remember off the top of my head…I’ll reply with it when I get home.
