885's and 5100's

    I know, I know, but I cant seem to get a real number. How much will the 885's lift a 2011 DC SB with 5100's? No spacers or packers. Also I have the TSB, what will level it with them. I would rather use a spring for the lift rather than the 5100,s. I am trying to achieve around 2.25"-2.5" of lift. Dont want to buy UCA's just yet. Thanks you for your patience!

    885s may give you 3" or a bit more. 884s will give you between 2-2.5". There will be slight variances from one truck to the next.(single/extended/double cab, shortbed/ LB)

    NLF just installed some 884s last week. I just installed my 884s yesterday. He posted some post lift measurements. I'm gonna let mine settle a week then post some measurements.

    My bilstein 5100's set at 0" and OME 885's didnt give me a full 3" of lift. :eek:

    Im referring to the set up on my new truck which was just purchased and installed 1 month ago from DSM. Maybe is is 3" but it seems like about 2.5"

    I had the 5100's with 885x coils. After a few weeks mine settled in to 2.75" of lift in the front. I have an Access Cab Prerunner. So I would assume that a DC will give you between 2.25" to 2.75". But that is just a guess.

    I will tell you that it rode smooth and I really recommend the setup from my experience.

    ARB suggests the 885 for Double Cabs. 884 is suggested for Access Cabs.

    Results will vary, will the 884 look good? I sure it will, but so with the 885.

    Throwing random numbers out there. It has sagged for sure since it was first installed.

    Right. The 885's give over 3" initally, then settle down to about 3" for Prerunners, and about 2.75 for 4x4's

    Can I get my 3" back?? :confused:

    I am rubbing pretty bad now and I wasn't before it settled. I'm sure the 1/4" top plate spacer would do the trick but that means I would have to bring it by another shop and pay $40 to get it installed.

    Your only option is to get the top plate spacer, or pre-load the 5100's to .85".

    I would think the top plate spacer would be the solution with the least amount of headache.

    Top plate spacer would mean I need to change out the 3 bolts on each shock with longer ones which would require a spring compressor.

    adjusting to .85 would be the easiest route but would be to much lift. :mad:

    Ill just deal with the rubbing.

    First, you don't even know if the springs sagged below 3 inches. Until you get away from the keyboard, and take some measurements, nothing can be accuraely decided.
