Did anyone have a shop do it? I'm debating having a shop do my lift kit and alignment (I don't have a flat concrete area or a tall enough garage), I'm wondering the added cost.

Plus cost of parts I assume?

That's not horrible considering the tools I'd buy alone are 130-150 buck.

I highly recommend watching several YouTube vids before doing this.

I did mine in my '23 at 529 miles while I installed 5100's. The tools are a must have IMO..... buy them and resell them or find someone that will loan/rent them to you(what I did). I highly recommend the insertion tool too to help drive the bushing in straight(bushing is very tight).

My OEM bearing pulled out slicker than snot using the ECGS puller. The nut that pulls the bearing out was a little tricky getting it into position but not too bad. I used a magnet. Don't forget to use something to keep from loosing the nut inside the diff. Have at least a half a quart of 75w90 on hand to add back. Of course, this is a great time to change fluid if you have some miles on your truck.

I used a ratchet and multiple extensions to remove OEM bearing.

I had the ECGS bushing in freezer for hours and it was still pretty tight. This insertion tool is one that i made. I ended up using a 1-1/4" socket over the end of the tool with an extension to make it easier to strike with a hammer.

Hello all, new member here, I just lifted my 23 Tacoma last Wednesday had the work done by 88rotors, I asked them about the needle bearing they said not to worry about it, I called Miyaki Motorsports he said also since the truck is under warranty to not worry about it, I don’t have any vibes but I don’t want to have a problem in the future any shop in socal where I can have this done? I don’t have the tools to do any of the work myself, a few or my friends don’t have time on the weekends with their families and such. I may have overlooked it but any shop in or close to Ontario California that is willing to do the install? Thank you in advance.

Since you have already done the lift, I too say don't worry about unless you start to experience vibrations from the driver side. Having said that, I replaced mine on my truck with only 529 miles because I do my own work and much of the work is already done while I was installing 5100's. Congrats on your new truck.

My local dealer Carries the ecgs bushing in stock and adds to any of their trucks they lift . So I had them do it
Labor, bushing , new seal and diff fluid flush and fill is 500
    Took about 2 hrs
I know it’s spendy for what it is… but I didn’t want to screw it up or mess with the seal. Plus they will take care of it if it leaks or has issues .

Hello, I need to do the ECGS bushing on my 2014 Tacoma and was looking for the removal and install tools to rent, buy or borrow. Thanks

I got my kit from ecgs, now to look for a shop in socal that can get me a decent price for labor. Also having whatever shop does this install my upper control arms and get another alignment done.

Just got a quote from Miyaki motor sports in El Monte he quoted me 340 for the needle bearing replacement not as bad as other spots JBM offroad wants 495 for the labor cost. Miyaki priced me at 580 for uppers, alignment and ecgs install not bad but he’s booked out. I made an appointment for mid April will see if I can get in anywhere else sooner and for close to what he’s charging.

I think someone could argue that from a manufacturing standpoint, the "upgrade" is actually cheaper since it's just a bushing and not a needle bearing set.
