I think people forget the whole idea of business is to make money.

Raise rates to high people leave Give your product or service away to long you go broke it is walking on a knife edge in the best of times.

Probably cancelling Starlink. Upping my price to $120 a month for a cabin I haven't been to in 3 months.

You could sell and transfer the equipment to someone else and then repurchase an RV kit that allows for monthly use rather than always being paid for.

Account kicked to RV, with original reservation still in to transfer when it becomes available for residential. It’s $150, but we have the internet. I’m so incredibly pumped.

    I canceled my service yesterday.

AltaFiber just installed in my neighborhood and into my house, 1Gb down / 500 meg up for $70.00.

Sorry. I moved it from residential to RV. I don’t live in a service area and bought a dish through a service ready address and turned that onto RV in order to save $700 in non-RV equipment when my reservation comes through.

They hung fiber down our road months ago and no one is picking up service. I’ll cancel mine immediately when that happens.

That’s a great price for those speeds

    Any caps?

Thanks for helping us figure this newfangled system out :hattip:

No caps, no contract…it is a promotional rate, in 2 years it goes up $20 per month. They also offered 2gig down and 1gig up but my Firewalla Router port is only 1Gig.

This will work perfectly fine until we get fiber at a lower price. It’s a little slower at night since it’s not prioritized, but still more than enough to watch YouTube TV or any streaming app in its highest resolution.

The latest rumors I’ve heard is that the Polaris 2 mission might be used to service Hubble and slightly raise its orbit. NASA and SpX announced a plan to ‘study’ it last year.

I don’t know how powerful it’s transmitters are but I’ce thought lunar orbit might be interesting. At least until that gets filled.
