Still think TITNC3: Return of the Iceberg was peak

This is driving me batty...does anyone know how to view the current trigger price that a stop loss will execute at with Fidelity?
I set a trailing stop on a put at $0.50 and it still hasn't triggered but the put has fallen by $85...

It seems crazy...
TD shows you in the current exit price Trailing stop $0.85 ($5.50)

 

Remind me how trailing stops work....

Is it looking at "any drop of $.50 without any up" IE It went down from 5$ to 4.51$ then up to 4.61$ so it's looking for 4.11$ for a sale now

 

It ratchets up and down with the price...
STock is $10 you put a $1 trailing stop...
When you set it the stock IS $10 so your exit price is $9....
Stock dips to $9.25...NO Sell....
Stock climbs to $10.80...Trailing stop (-$1.00) now sets the exit price at $9.80...
Stock falls to $10.10....No sell
Rises to $11.50 Trailing stop (-$1.00) now sets the exit price at $10.50
STock falls to $10.47 and your trialing stop executes SELL AT MARKET at $10.50 and with a high volume stock you'll be out at $10.50 with $0.50 profit...

 

Okay so it finds the peak after you set it. Say you set it at the yellow arrow, it finds the peak AFTER that yellow arrow (which could actually be at the yellow arrow) and then sets a (in your case, 1$) number below that. If it finds a new peak, it finds a new sell limit, BUT It won't work it's way down, it'll always be at 1$ below the peak, even if it works back up a bit while coming down...



I think I knew that but I'm just tired.

Yes, Always set off the highest peak..
Which is why this fxxng $NVDA put is driving me crazy...IT should have sold like $100 ago

Wasn't meant to be politardicle. It was just meant to push BBIGs stock up. Then they release Q3 earnings. Then Q4 earnings. If those are both good and their debt had shrunk, which it will have, a rocket emoji will be the last thing you ever hear from me. lol

The good news is...when I THOUGHT My put was selling I bought the $NVDA Call...so every $1 I lost on the Put I got back on the Call...soooo...it's a wash...NICE....just break even like seinfeld
