I've been to several of the casinos around western WA. My Ex was a prolific gambler, and I like to eat crab and lobster. Most of the casinos there have great all-you-can-eat surf N turf buffets. We would signup for their loyalty programs, then I'd let her go gamble for a few hours, and we would get a discounted or free surf N turf dinner. Even when she lost, I wasn't paying more than I would have at a regular restaurant for the same dinner. So I saw it as a win-win for both of us.

Not sure how long I’ve had this ER box on the right. I’ve used this box as storage for years, thinking I’ve had this for probably 25-30 years. My dad got this years ago, as a store manager. The bottle of course….gone. But the box is pretty cool. Didn’t realize what this box was until I really started learning about bourbon.

Sounds like me in Vegas. We stay at the Venetian, charge everything to the room for the points, and gamble for more points. I try to win just enough to pay for the room. Even if I don't, we usually make enough points that we're not paying more than a couple hundred for the whole week.

I don't do much gambling. That was my Ex's thing. But I've been to Vegas a few times, and I'm not above using it to help get some good food and entertainment.

Got a big surprise tonight from my Girlfriend! Tried a glass last week on date night at a local whiskey bar we both love and she ordered it the same night. Very happy to add it to the collection!

Yep, still have keys 1 & 2. Haven’t been on TW since around Christmas until last week. I’ve got a shitload of bourbon pics to go back and “Like.”

    PM inbound.

I’ve heard from everyone with keys and sent you guys shipping info. @JoeySauce will send #4. Will let everyone know when I have them all.

Once in hand might take 3-4 weeks to get the distillery to finish up a glass and have it available. Also you can order your own without keys for a fee…

Next question will be who gets to it first :)

Here in NC this is the kind of stuff that’s hit or miss as far as seeing it in the stores right away. Two categories that are always harder to find in the state controlled stores: cask strength / barrel strength versions of anything, and finished whiskies like this one.

Does anyone have a recommendation for Whiskey cooling stones? I've got these (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08RRTVSWK), and they work okay but are not nearly cold as ice. I'm hoping someone might have a suggestion that works better. I like larger blocks 1.5"-2", but I really just want something that gets freezing cold and won't water down the whiskey.

just one man’s opinion….all that crap is a gimmick. Best option, buy a 10 dollar 6 pack cooler and make your own clear ice. More fun and way more effective

    I've tried several different types.

My opinion is you need to make a choice to drink on the rocks or not, with everything that entails. The other option that actually works is throwing the bottle in the fridge or freezer.

The stones just don't seem to get it done.
