my 98 2rz i just got which is virtually the same motor from what i've read only has 136k on it and the cyl head was in need of a re-build due to a cracked ex. mani. One valve shrunk and one valve burnt up and the valve guides were out of wack. Fix your cracks fella's. She's still at the head shop.

My 2010 has 8,000 miles and already a couple of problems. Just had the transmission replaced at 7,500 miles and now the door seal is broken (got it back from the dealer today and they said they fixed it but they didn't. Gotta take it back again tomorrow). I love this truck tho so hopefully thats it for problems.

Congratulations ! That's impressive. What motor do you have ? How is the rust ? Here in NJ it would have disintegrated by now. My 2000 did but they bought it back. Thanks. Curious George.

This is a bit off topic, but I have 306,000 on my '95 V6 Camry with original everything except struts and starter. I can still drive 5,000 to 6,000 freeway miles without adding oil (I have been using high mileage oil for the last 150K for the seals). It still runs strong and smooth and passes CA smog tests with ease.

I am hanging out around here with the plan of replacing it with a 4 banger Tacoma, probably a PreRunner with an automatic.
