Honestly, grabbing hardcopy FSMs (it was a listing that included service and electrical) was one of the best purchases I've made for the tacoma. That electronic version helped me when I first started wrenching on the truck but it is one of the earlier versions and having the hardcopy is so much better IMO.

The sticky thread you mentioned, link works fine for me. I just checked it. First post.

If you have a project you are working on, can also do a paid subscription to toyota's online info. Varying paid options - 2 day, month, year, etc). It's up to date, accurate and you have access to everything (electrical, trans, engine - everything). Came in really handy when I was doing my 2 to 4WD conversion.

For my other Toyota's I use TIS

Last time I subscribed it was $15 for 3 days. You can download and save as a PDF each page of the FSM for any Toyota made. I'll download common maintenance items...brakes, suspension, tuneup, etc.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
I like having hard Copies much better.

My computer the magic smoke escaped all the digital gone.

The external hard drive ( back up) the drivers are no longer to be found.

    Hard copies for the win.

I been trying to scooby a decent copy myself for my 01 prerunner, no luck parts and pieces of parts of the actual manual. I got at 98 pathfinder also they practically gave me all the bonafide FSM lit when I signed up at the PF forum. I guess more or less we don't run in the halls here, all good.

What made things much worse was when Toyota sold the Service manual rights to Helm inc.

Who raised the prices about 3 times what they had been then made many years and models obsolete .

sent their lawyers out to find and eliminate free hosted digital copies under threat of legal action.
