Got the car in 2020 with about 190,000 miles on it. Had one previous owner but the dealer only had a handful of service records. First thing I did was add a spacer lift & some wheels (Method 305 NVs with 265/70R17 Ko2s) . Since then I’ve been going to Valvoline for my oil changes (Conventional) about every 3,000. The only major services I’ve gotten done were the brake pads back in ‘21 & got the transmission & differential fluid changed out about 2 weeks ago. The shop (Primo Motorsports) did say that my front driver side wheel bearing needs to be replaced & my suspension could use some love.

What do you guys think, is it worth fixing up the suspension & getting other work done, maybe even a new paint job? Here’s a list of parts I’m thinking of throwing on:

    Front Suspension Kit

    Wheel Bearing

Btw, the truck has only seen paved roads as a daily driver. Only time it’s seen dirt was out in Joshua Tree but nothing crazy. Also the tailgate got stolen a month ago so I just threw that net on there.

    100% worth fixing.

I’d go with a set of wheel bearing assemblies from @05Taco4x4
The one in your link is not the the full assembly.

I said set, because 90% of the time when one is bad the other is on its way out too.

If you like the truck, then I would still keep it. The repairs you are talking about are typical on a truck with higher miles.

Seems like pretty normal stuff to me. As mentioned, grab a fully assembled wheel bearing from someone on here and find some local members to help w/ swapping it. Only takes about an hour per side. I'd personally only do the side that's required. Wait til the other needs replacing before doing it. No need to spend money early if you don't have to.

@TnShooter Thanks for the connect but I just checked his profile & I guess he’ll be unavailable until April.

What can you guys tell me about TRQ products, are they good? Is it bad to go with aftermarket wheel bearings?

So you dropped $1k on wheels and now think a truck is totaled because it finally needs some little wheel bearings that I’ve seen cars need at 50k,
and shocks that can be replaced for $0-400

A tailgate anti theft clamp is about $4 at an auto parts store

do I want something else due to probably being better than 2nd gen? Yes
    Is now the time/current market?
Probably not, given people want $16k for a $1k rusted out 1st gen

And you have white paint, probably the best kind of color any vehicle can come with

it’s really up to you. What you want, what it’s going to cost you, etc
I don’t think I’d mind a current Ford Ranger for the little bit more power and efficiency from the turbo.
But doing the same mods all over again would cost even more. Less companies. Modding less common in the Ranger stock Grandpa community. Which means boutique overpricing

takes a long time for fuel cost savings to actually happen. Less so with CA pricing where it’s still expensive to fill up a sedan depending on how far you normally drive.

depends how you use it. If its designed and sacrifices other things to climb rocks etc and is never used for that, might not be worth having.
Like having to pay for a Netflix subscription and never watching.

Is the truck yours, you own it? Nothing like a title. No one can take it from you. Looks like a nice truck, beats those monthly payments. I'd keep it.
