My bad. Here too. Meant to say saturday is the nice day. My new mirrors for the bike came in yesterday. A small tank bag will be here next week.

Bad ideas are my thing. Especially when you throw in rash.

 

All the flaking out, the one email a day asking inane questions, and low-balls aside, here's one:

I get an email through Craigslist today. The auto-generated text is in there, but the user-generated text is a phone number with some unintelligible word in front of it. My Spidey-sense tingles and I delete it. Few seconds later, I get another with the same name. This time just another unintelligible word. Okay. Definitely a scam. But one more shows. No text this time. Okay. I go back to the original and grab the phone number. Google says it belongs to a plumbing company with the same last name as the supposed send of the emails. I find another search result with the same first and last name that ties back to the plumbing company. The plumbing company is in Fairfax, so I'm beginning to wonder if the emails aren't legit and it's just somebody attempting to reply to the ad and isn't very technologically inclined. I go back to the emails and something catches my eye. The word in front of the phone number. I finally figure out that it's supposed to say "Bruce here." But it looks like this: brucehere. Which is a search result for the plumbing company. Okay.

I look back at the emails in a bigger window and see that the subject line is a lot longer than email had shown. I usually ignore the ones from CL because it just regurgitates the title of the ad. To shorten this up: His name was Bruce, he was trying to make an offer of $2500, and wants me to call him. My mood is about like the weather today, and I came close to replying like the true asshole I am. But I took a breath, counted to ten, and didn't hit send.

The low offers made by the dealerships are starting to look better and better every day.

 

I bet they will give you a fair trade in value on one of these

 

Oh sure. Now if only all that crap wasn't one off parts made for SEMA.

 

And stop distracting me, I'm cheap helmet shopping.
