Update on this: I decided to go and buy it as it was on sale and the rep on here reached out to me. I just did the complete uninstall of the factory system and plugged in the hewitt kit and now my truck's in limp mode. Apparently the Hewitt kit is supposed to just protect the valves by making them enclosed inside the system and spoofs the pump. To completely delete the system like I had intended, you have to shell out for 2 of their pressure sensors at $225 a pop. I should've done more research and bought an HP tuner for cheaper.

Too bad I already installed this kit so non-returnable. For now I can put the two ASVs back in to get it out of limp mode until I come up with a better solution. If only I was a bit more tech savvy I might've been able to just create a spoofer to send the operating pressure signal to the controls.

The second Gen and 3rd Gen have different MAF clocking so this WONT work on a second gen.

I tried this after the 90 and it threw maf codes. I ended up getting the maf mating piece and welding onto a much longer tube

It wasn't so much the distance that gave me issues. It was the turbulent air being so close to the 90. Even with the air straightener

I’ve done a bunch of them and put the MAF 6” from the throttle body, never had a single issue

That's about where mine ended up after starting out next to the 90 coming out of the air cleaner with no luck

That’s what I’m aiming for. Ordered a piece of straight pipe and connectors to be able to figure it out

When it gets in I’ll test fit the sensor.

The screw holes didn’t line up
And the opening was a bit small
If you had the time and patience you could modify it to fit
    But
Making from Scratch would be the easier solution
    Or
Partition off the plastic tube section from the OEM intake tube and then cut a small grove into each side for the tube clamps

Torque solutions makes both Denso style flanges. They are like 25$. If you can’t weld it yourself I’m sure it wouldn’t take much to find someone that can.

Not a problem for me specifically anymore; but that is a good idea
