It's less Tacoma and more mod
Few steps closer to the engine being on a stand. I swear I always forget just how much coolant is in one of these, shirt looks like I was in a bloodbath.

And once you take the plate off, you will never be able to get it back on when you wheel in dusty situations

Fuck it. Do it! Throw a Throttle body spacer on to add to your whistle and it'll be the perfect combo

Glad to hear it! I have a thin foam topper that I plan to add to the mattress. Pretty sure it's the same tent that CVT, Roofnest, etc all slap their logo on but at 1/3 the price... can't beat that.

Grinder only got away from me once. Good grinder or tin can. Regardless, it's not in the hood so I'm ok with that. Besides I still have one more side to hack up.

Where are you getting 100 from? That a is dyno of a 3.4 supercharged with stock air box (supercharged) then deck plate mod (supercharged) then elbow mod (supercharged)

    Grrr...

So my to-do list has just grown...my leaf springs are pretty much sacked out, flat and just this side of frowning when the bed is unladen. Presently searching the internet for replacements, but I don't want to add any more lift since IIRC the TRD came stock with a slightly higher ride height. General Spring is out of the running since I've heard bad things about them lately. Leaning towards the Deavers, even if it costs more than most.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
I'm not that far from having a set of Alcans for sale.
(Says you're in CA Central Valley) It would probably add more lift (for sure). They are +4 inch with 700 pound load.

Probably looking at around May and I'll have them for sale. I've got to work on my to do list (Build the rear axle and install it with 63s) to get to that point.

Are you suggesting that the supercharged engine behaves different to an naturally aspirated one? :playball:

My to do list is growing. Ordered a couple more pieces for the back axle.

I already have the 63 swap kit

    Screenshot_20230303_124202_DuckDuckGo.jpg

And the axle housing, armor, trusses, fill and drain plugs. Also, I'll be running U-bolt eliminator plates.

Third member (core) is sourced and ready to send to ECGS for a re-gear and Harrop.

    20221201_174402.jpg

I have the 86-95 IFS wheel hubs going to be delivered this weekend (to make this axle full float with 03-09 4 Runner discs)

Also started on sourcing the suspension.

    4 inch hydro bumps

    20230221_173924.jpg

Still deciding if I'm going to run the shocks inside or outside of the frame. That will determine what shocks I order (Length)

I should be able to start working on this project pretty soon. Hoping to have it done before our Rubicon trip in Mid June.

Thanks for the offer but I'm looking to retain my stock ride height for now. I routinely haul my bike to trackdays and anything higher than my TRD would be a pain to load/unload. ;)

    No worries.

Just thought I'd throw it out as an option. Leafs are expensive, shipping on them is stupid as well.

I'm not doing it but the shop is, at least until I have to wire it all up when I get the truck back.

Trucks been down for a little getting some front end rework done after someone decided to fender bender me.

Will be happy to have her back on the road with a fresh facelift! Just need to snag a few more pods to fill it out! DD + Baja make a good combo.
