I'd take it non painted just to awake it easier for you. What's the width of the sheet you used? It looked bigger than anything i have in the shop but I'm literally right next door to my metal supplier so I'll pick something up from them :fistbump: you're a beast, thank you!

All packed up for my camping trip with @Kwikvette tomorrow, his last hurrah before the baby comes (RIP)

here's hoping the 4runner doesn't take a shit on me out there, had no time to address the idle and throttle issues before this. Wife and daughter are all but bedridden with the flu, been taking care of home stuff after work all week.

Gonna have the wolf dog with me sleeping in the rig, already gagging at the thought of his farts

    I got you fam :fistbump:

    The plate I used was 1/8" thick, measuring 9" x 6".

I plug welded via the backside after drilling carefully placed holes through said plate; just laid out each part, traced it partially, and hit a spot in the center with a punch -

    20230227_145627.jpg

After that, ran it through the drill press. Forget what bit size I used but I know you got tons so you'll figure it out.

Shit just like old times; I already told you but for anyone else that cares to read...the way the seats fold up in the Land Cruiser, you lose depth versus how the 4Runner seats fold up.

I'll be sleeping in my rig and to be comfortable, I yanked one of my seats out.

As far as room goes, there's a shit ton.

Since it'll just be us, I'm thinking we can really head up in search of some snow.

    Anybody follow 406 Garage?

I think I've mentioned it before. The owner (Ben) finds old International Harvester trucks to refurbish, part out, or re-sell. He has a rotating collection of a few dozen trucks at a time.

He doesn't talk about them, but I always see Tacomas and Land Cruisers in his yard as well. I assume he drives those when he wants something "modern".

Anyway, his latest project is a 1927 IH 1210 (3/4 ton 4x4) with...

    A Cummins 12-valve w/intercooler
    5-speed manual (NV4500)
    Dual cases (NP241 + NP205)
    37" tires
    4.56 gears w/Detroit rear LSD

In the video (which is actually on Casey Ladelle's channel--he and Ben are friends) he goes through the work it needs done. Essentially, it's a good pile of parts that are poorly assembled. Sounds like it'll be a beast when finished.

Thanks! Been a minute since I've camped too. Been anxiously anticipating for this flu to hit me like it's hit my wife and kid this week, daughter's been coughing on me all week and literally threw up in my face while I was holding her yesterday lol. But fortunately I seem to be immune to this one. So far

I haven't actually tested to see how well I'll fit in the T4R sleeping in it, especially with a 65lb husky but I guess we'll find out lol
