I can't see an EV manufacturer who isn't selling their product in China making for the long haul.

I do agree there is no market for the R1s or t in China, nor would it make sense for Rivian to import into China.

Seems superficial to base a company on what vehicle a person employed by them didn't drive. Maybe they flew in and they were rentals? Maybe they didn't have a vehicle to send them in? Could be any number of reasons. Maybe they were sub contracted engineers working for Rivian.

Physical abuse certainly. But mechanically they will be far less abused than ICE since what is abusive in an ICE vehicle is not to an EV, which will have them mechanically likely lasting longer. Also the Rivian delivery van range is 150 miles. The average urban Amazon route is 50-60 miles. Way more than enough range for the job. The vehicles spend so much time starting and stopping they do not travel a significant distance.

Speaking of, saw another today. F0B4D257-9F3C-4D7D-A059-BFF9FF14AD8C.jpg

I believe the abuse EV fleet vehicles will see are going to be far worse than their ice counter parts.

We will see what happens with Rivian vans, the electric Mail trucks, and what ever UPS has going on with their EV endeavors.

I still can't find any news on how LA city's RTX electric pumper is doing.

That’s not all that surprising since the trucks have only been in production for 1.5 years. Depending on how long ago you used to work at that job there may have only been a handful of pre-production prototypes rolling around.

All the driving ways are less wear and tear on an EV. EVs barely even use brakes, which are heavily utilized in a delivery van.

The EV trucks don't look like they are built as well as what they will be replacing. The Rivian van and the Mail trucks look plastic and poorly constructed. If the the entire vehicle fails around the drive train, what good is the drive train? Then you have all of the computer interface and touch screens running all of the vehicle systems.

in what universe does this logic make any sense ? Like the drivers are going to intentionally beat on their vans more because its an EV van and not an ICE van ?
