    Thanks all! I hope the truck doesn't get stuck in the random quality inspection routine that some seem to be encountering. It should be here in a few weeks. I looked around a lot and there is conflicting information on whether or not the 2023 V6 has a timing belt or chain. Any information you can provide would be appreciated.

    I noticed the SR5 trim doesn't have heated seats and I didn't know that until yesterday after I put down the deposit. Toyota is sort of funny when it comes to accessories. LED headlights, for instance, seem to be a standard across many manufacturers but you can only get them in TRD models of the Taco. Apple car play being wired vs. wireless is also a bit surprising. Another disappointment was watching a Youtube on oil changes (which I do myself) and I see it's a bit more complicated because the filter isn't a disposable cartridge. Oh well, first world problems!

    Mine got pulled for a QC inspection. Resulted in a 6 day delay. I think most of the QC inspection holds is just a nice way to say "sorry we're backed up and this is the best excuse we have".

    Hopefully you're not in a Southeast Toyota Distributors state where that stop at the depot involves getting things like a $395 LED interior lighting upgrade, $1,500 running boards, and $700 for a couple of extra oil changes and some ScotchGuard. I hope yours will arrive quickly and sans overpriced add-on crap. Congrats and enjoy! :)

    All the haves and have nots would have been easily searchable between Toyota's site and TacomaWorld. The SR5 is a great package IMHO, but there's lots of fluff left off that some folks like.

    Actually that's exactly what it is. The housing stays in place, the cartridge is replaced.
