where did you get your 5100’s?

 

Liking this MGM so far!

 

Bone stock...

 

I bought them from Hotshot Offroad for $440 delivered and had them the next day.
But since then I've seen them at Stage3motorsports for $390 delivered which is by far the best deal around.

 

thats without coils correct? You reuse your factory coils?

 

how much lift did you get on the 4th notch? Did you install a diff drop kit too?

so I looked them up on stage3motorsports and it says it’s good for 2” in front which is fine and 1” in back. So I wouldn’t be able to use an add a leaf in back because that would give me 1.5” of lift and the 5100 rear shock wouldn’t work?? I really don’t want to use blocks.

 

Wheels are 17x8.5 with the -12mm offset. Was rubbing pretty bad when turning on the drive home, but I do like the stance.

Got my lift partially installed last night, will wrap it up today. SPC UCA's, Bilstein 6112's on 11/9, ECGS bushing, Icon RTX rear leafs with Bilstein 5160's, yada yada. Need to confirm, but initial look with LCA's maxed forward and SPC set back to initial caster I don't think a CMC is going to be required. Will get some better photos posted when I have it all done today.

 

Did you do the ecgs bushing by yourself?

 

Yes. Wasn't too bad, just had to wrestle all the parts out of the way. And I did have to grind the puller down a bit that ECGS sells, it was a bit too wide to get behind the bushing.

 

Here is the final setup with the lift installed. Very mild rubbing on the front liner on both sides, should be able to heat the liners and form them out of the way. Am pretty pleased with how it turned out.

 

Just got those tires delivered yesterday and hopefully going on my MGM this week or next.

Did you get an alignment yet? If so, did that solve all of the mild rubbing?

 

No diff drop. 4th notch with 5100's is 1.55" on factory coils. I also did the ECGS bushing and there's details in my thread below:

It will work but the rear 5100 would limit your down travel by around 1/2" with a 1.5" rear lift. This wasn't a big deal for me.... and for most folks honestly. SERIOUS off roaders will want every last bit of travel to max articulation.

 

What’s the difference between these 2 add a leafs? How does a 3 leaf only lift 1.5” but the single one lifts it 1.5-2”?

 

The 3 leaf setup is more progressive than the single. Each of the 3 are much thinner than the single so it will probably give you a smoother ride, especially when the bed is empty.

Im not really understanding what she’s saying. Is the single leaf aal stiffer or the 3 leaf aal? I’m not going be doing much of any offroad. Just highway driving mostly and a tiny bit of city driving.
